------------"Oh come on, Reid! Let her stay!" Emily's words came out a slurred mess, "We're having so much fun!"
Spencer's hands wrapped around my waist, holding on just a tad too tight. "She can hardly stand up straight, I think it's time for us to get home." All I could do was giggle, waving at our friends.
"Bye guys!" I nearly screamed, my hands flying around as I scanned the bar, finding Emily laughing at me, Penelope yelling at Luke, Luke smiling, and JJ getting another round for everyone. After a loud choir of "goodbyes", I turned to my boyfriend, stumbling nothing, and not having to worry about falling flat on my face as Spencer's grip tightened on me immediately.
"Careful! Bar floors have more bacteria than most public bathrooms!" The look of pure panic in his eyes was priceless, forcing another obnoxious giggle out of me.
"I don't wanna leave yet, we still haven't played beer-pong with that guy!" I shoved my hand in the general direction of a tall man who had been overly-friendly to me all night.
"Let's not. We really have to get you home," He spoke clearly, not even bothering to spare the man a glance. He wrangled my squirming body out of the bar, practically dragging me. I knew I wasn't being much help, but the warm buzz filled my body with so much ease, I couldn't focus on much else.
"Look, we're right here," He grunted, trying to keep me upright while digging the keys out of his pocket. By the time he managed to open the car door, I was almost entirely slumped over in his arms.
"The ground looks funny!" I pointed at the yellow paint marking our parking space, but I was very rudely pulled away when a strong arm hooked itself under my legs, the other supporting my back. In less than a second, I was quite literally swept off my feet. "Spencer!" I screeched, groaning at my sudden headrush as the entire world seemed to spin faster.
"Sorry, but I really had to get you in the car," I could tell he was trying to bite back a smug grin as he set me in the passenger seat, buckling my seatbelt. I stared at him as he tightened the seatbelt, his curls seeming to stick out in every direction, his brows furrowed as if he was on a mission, and his sharp jawline all seemed much more prominent underneath the glowing moonlight.
"What?" His eyes snapped up to mine, but I couldn't feel any embarrassment after being caught staring for once.
"Nothing," I stretched the word out, almost singing it, "You're just so pretty!"
The corner of his lips twitched before he shook his head, "So drunk," He murmured before shutting the car door and walking to his side.
I couldn't remain awake for most of the car ride, dozing off every few minutes while staring at the blurred trees flying by us. The few times I had the energy to turn my head and look at the man next to me, his hands gripped the wheel so tightly I thought he might pull it off. I was sure that I could have figured out why, had I not been in my inebriated state. Before I could process where we were, my door was being opened and a pair of hands were gripping my arms, helping me out.
