Surprising Noah

Ava's PoV

I was spending the day with Noah and I couldn't wait. Chloe had messaged to say that they'd be home Friday as long as nothing changed. I was going to pop into town tomorrow to get a few things to decorate the house with and clean the house before they got back.

I was in the middle of texting Stacey and Chloe when I heard Noah begin to wake up. I finished messaging Stacey and Chloe then went to see Noah. "Morning monkey" he looked happy to see me and lifted up his arms so I picked him up. "Shall we go make mummy and daddy some breakfast?" Noah was more cheerful when I mentioned breakfast today. We went downstairs and he helped me get everything, then I sat him on the side while I made pancakes.

Noah and I had just finished making breakfast when Janette and Aljaz appeared. "Mama" Janette went and picked him up from the side. "morning monkey. He looks happier today" "yeah, he's woke up in a good mood for now. Let's eat before they go cold"

Janette's PoV

I loved having Ava around and I didn't want her to leave at the end of the week. "What have you got planned for you and Noah today?" "Not sure yet. What time are you meeting Karen?" "She's coming to pick me up in an hour" "what have you got planned?" "Probably shopping and going somewhere to eat" "have fun" "thanks. I should probably start getting ready" "do you want some help?" "Yes please"

Ava and I went upstairs leaving the boys in the kitchen.

Ava's PoV

I could tell that there was something wrong with Janette but knew she wouldn't tell me if the boys were around so I offered to help her get ready for her day with Karen so I could talk to her.

We were upstairs so I knew that this would be my opportunity. "Have you got any idea on options to wear?" "Not really" "you ok? You don't seem like yourself today"

Janette's PoV

I didn't realise that Ava knew me better than I thought she did. Honestly I hadn't felt like myself in days but I put it down to Noah's birthday. "If I tell you something you won't tell anyone else will you?" "Course not, it'll stay between us" "I haven't felt right in weeks. I thought it was everything that happened with Noah but I don't think it is" "have you spoken to Aljaz or Karen about it?" "You're the first person I've told" "what you doing tomorrow?" "Nothing why? I thought you were going to organise the house for Chloe's return on Friday." "You're gonna book a doctors appointment to try and find out what's going on" "will you come with me?" "If you want me to then of course I will. What will you tell Aljaz?" "That I'm helping you for a bit" "what about Noah?" "Either leave him with Aljaz or ask Karen to look after him" "let me know what time your appointment is" "will do" "now let's get you ready to go out with Karen" "thanks"

I felt better after I'd told Ava. I knew she was right about going to the doctors. I finished getting ready with Ava's help then went downstairs to wait for Karen.

Ava's PoV

I was glad that Janette felt like she was able to tell me what was wrong and that I was able to help. I finished helping her get ready then we went downstairs to wait for Karen.

Karen soon arrived so I went to say bye to Janette. "If you need me then message me" "thanks. You sure you're going to be alright with Noah?" "Absolutely. Go have fun with Karen and we'll catch up later"

Not long after Janette left, Aljaz left to see Kev so it was just Noah and I. "Shall we go and get dressed then go to the park?" Noah's face lit up as soon as I mentioned the park.

I got him dressed then sat him on my bed with some toys while I was in the bathroom getting dressed; I didn't realise how much I was gonna miss him when I went back to Chloe and Ashley's. I made a plan in my head that I'd spend at least one weekend a month at Janette's and split my time between being at home with Chloe and being at Janette's.

As soon as I was dressed, I took him downstairs to get our things then left. I decided not to take his pram as he wanted to walk and I could just carry him. When we got to the park, Noah wanted to go straight to the swings like I knew he would.

Janette's PoV

I was out with Karen but all I wanted to do was be with Ava and Noah. I messaged Ava to ask her where she was then got Karen to drop me off at the park.

Ava's PoV

Noah and I were still at the park when Janette messaged asking where we were, I told her then she said she'd be down soon. As soon as she arrived I could tell that she wasn't herself. "Want a girls movie night tonight?" "That sounds amazing" "we'll wait until Noah goes to bed, then we'll curl up on the sofa. Is Aljaz coming back tonight or staying at Kevin's?" "Staying with Kev I believe"

Janette's PoV

I'd decided to make the most of my time with Ava before she went back to Chloe's on Friday. "Karen said she'd have Noah tomorrow so we don't have to rush" "have you booked an appointment?" "I'll do it when we get home"

Karen's PoV

From the moment I picked Janette up I could tell that she wasn't alright. She'd asked if I could have Noah tomorrow which of course I would as it'd been ages since I'd seen him. We'd been out for a while then she messaged Ava and asked me to drop her off at the park. I just hoped she'd talk to me when she was ready or she'd tell Ava what was wrong.

Janette's PoV

I'd had a good day spending time with the kids. Noah was in bed, Ava had told me to pick a movie while she got drinks and snacks.

Ava's PoV

It'd been nice spending the day with Janette and Noah. I'd spoken to Stace and Chloe. I was getting drinks and snacks while Janette was picking a movie then went to find her. "What we watching?" "I can't decide between beauty and the beast or sleeping beauty" "beauty and the beast. It's a no brainier"

We curled up on the sofa and ended up falling asleep.
