1982.6.15

This date, when they were still living in Daraga, Albay, when my then 10-year-old mom and my then 11-year-old Melanie Mercado met. They became classmates on their 6th grade.

1987.8.17

After our parents' graduation, (their education is 10 years then), they decided to go to college, with their program Culinary Arts at Bicol University. There, at the university, they met someone who is close to me: my then 16-year-old dad and then 17-year-old John Michael Kim whom they met each other at the university as well. They both took computer engineering as their college program.

I remember the days when Tito JM (that's his nickname) once told me that he was famous while he was studying in BU (short for Bicol University) due to his Korean blood.

He then once told me that he was mistakenly recognized as a foreigner who doesn't speak English nor Filipino, but in fact, he grew up here with his Filipino mother, Imelda Alonzo, and his Korean father, Kim Junhyeong, and his 4 older brothers (Kim Donghan, Kim Donghyun, Kim Dongjun, and Kim Jeonghan).

Yes. He's the youngest among the 5 of them.

I know their names are all in Korean, but they have English names as well. Mario, Matthew, Martin, and Mark Joseph, respectively. My Tito JM's Korean Name is Kim Jinhwan. Among his siblings, he's more close with Tito MJ (short for Mark Joseph). I've once met him and he's kind!

4 years later, in July 1991, they all graduated on BU. All of them, except for my Tito JM, worked right after their school. Tito JM continued his studies and studied Business Administration, major in Marketing. I personally do not know the reason why he took this.

1995.7.13

My mom and dad were together for about 4 years (they became together right after they finished). Meanwhile, Tita Melanie and Tito JM started to become together.

Their relationship last long, until they decided to get married before 2000. However, our moms don't want yet to be married, so they let the year 2000 end and get married.

2000.12.9

On this day, my mom and my dad, together with my Tita Melanie and Tito JM, married in Daraga at the same chapel.

3 days later, they all decided to live together and move away from Daraga to Calamba, Laguna to start a new life. I remember Tita Melanie once told me that Tito JM's father, Kim Junhyeong, gave him 10 million pesos for them to get started.

10 million is a huge value on that time. That's the house I lived for the first 11 years of my life. The house is very spacious, with a swimming pool and a garden.

He then invested the remaining money to stocks. He and my dad didn't work there for long, as they are into stocks. Meanwhile, my mom and Tita worked in a hotel as chefs until March 2002. They decided to resign first on March 2002, as they were pregnant with me and Daniel that time.

Months later, on the 14th of December, 2002, I was born. 16 days later, my best friend was born.

2004.4.27

The day I first interacted with Daniel (although we lived in the same house after we came into existence). For me, that was the best moment I've ever done in my life: meeting him. Though he's only 75% Filipino, his nationality wasn't an hindrance for us to be friends (as we're still both Filipinos!!!)

I remember the days when we played with each other. We become too close and became best friends for life. 2 years later, on the 30th of June, 2006, we witnessed Christopher's existence here in Earth.
