Matts POV
We got to Cassie's house. I got out of the car and walked into her house. Meghan followed close behind. I went up to Cassie's room and I put my bag down and Meghan was behind me. I turned around and she closed the door.
"What are you doing?" I said
"You need to hear this story" she said sitting next to me on the bed.
"Okay" I said in a nervous voice
"It all started in 7th grade when Cassie met a guy named Jack. They became really close and hung out almost everyday. She used to go to his house 90% of the time. His parents were never home but his twin sister was and her best friend. Cassie was really close with Jacks sisters friend. It was Jenn. Jenn had a crush on Jack since she first met him. When she found out that Cassie and him were dating she felt betrayed and hurt. She went crazy."
"One day when Jack and Cassie were hanging out, she got a text saying Come to the basement I need to talk to you alone, its about Jacks sister and he cant hear yet. She said she was really suspicious but it probably wasnt anything. She went down into the basement and it was pitch black. She tried to turn on a light but someone grabbed her hand and put a cloth over her mouth. She was down in the basement for almost 10 hours."
"Jenn told Jack that Cassie had to leave so he never went down there.Cassie passed out from Jenn cutting her, she didnt cut her alot just a little one on her leg. If it wasnt for their mom going down their to do laundry, i dont know what would of happened to Cassie. Cassie also has a restraining order on Jenn."
I started to tear up a little bit. It felt like my heart just shattered into a million and one pieces.
Cassies POV
I walked up to my room. Matt and Meghan have been up there about a while. I was really hoping there was nothing going on in there. I walked in and saw Matt wiped his face as if he was crying. He just walked up to me and hugged me. It wasnt like any other hug. He just looked and me and said
"I love you baby remember that"
