Matt's POV;
"Good morning Mr.Johnson" my cool yet sometimes annoying algebra teacher said.
"Hi" i said back to him in a non polite voice.
"You haven't been late in a while, why today?" Mr. R said.
"I've been going through some things lately." i said back to him.
He just nodded and I grabbed my phone.
After about 10 minutes, Cassie walks in the class.
"Ah Miss. Parker, nice of you to join the class extremely late"
"Sorry Mr. R my boyfriend and I had to walk here because hes car broke down."
"Okay, ill let it slide now take a seat"
She looked around the room and we made eye contact but i looked away 2 seconds later.
did she really just say Logan was her boyfriend?
wow she moved on fast. i guess i should too
I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned around.
"Hey cutie, so i heard you and Cassie broke up wanna come to my place later tonight and ill cheer you up, you'll so forget about her." Jenn says.
"So you're saying you wanna be my rebound?"
"Hell yeah"
"Well see ill text you later"
I went along with it because seeing Logan and Cassie made me feel like shit so maybe Cassie seeing me with Jenn, will let her finally realize why i cant see them together.
*after school*
I walk out of school and see Cassie standing by the door. I guess waiting for a ride home?

"Hey Cassie" I said pulling up to her
"hey" she says looking around
"get in ill drop you off at your house"
"okay thanks Matt"
she got in and the whole car ride wasnt awkward at all. I missed having these moments with her.
We got to her house.
"Wanna come in? i was going to have friends over cuz my parents arent home but they cancelled"
"what about your new boyfriend" i said
"oh um dont worry about him. come in. come on" she said opening her door laughing
"fine" i said putting the car in park also laughing.
We get into her house and walk into her room and we watched movies and hung out lik normal. but just as friends..
it was about 1:00am now.
"I think i should go home its getting late" i said getting up.
"Oh.. okay." she said in a low voice
"whats wrong?" i said grabbing her hand.
"I just.. nevermind." she says looking down
"Cassie tell me" i said lifting up her head with my hand
She took off her scarf and showed me what looked like a huge hickey.
"Cassie please dont show me those. I get it Logan and you are dating" i say getting up and opening her bedroom door
"Matt wait"
She takes off her shirt revealing bruises on her torso.
I run to her and immeditely start to get mad at Logan.
"WHO DID THIS. WAS IT LOGAN?"
she looked down and nodded
"That fu**ing asshole"
I ran out of her house and got in my car. Cassie ran after me begging me not to go to Logans. After about 20 minutes of her begging
I finally agreed. but i was going to punch him the next time I saw him.
We got back into her room.
"Matt can you please stay here for tonight"
"umm.. i dont know if i should"
"please. i know i said we should move on but i need you right now" she said with tears
i walked to her and layed down. She put her head on my chest and fell asleep.
I bent down and kissed her forehead
"I love you and i always will" i said
She looked up at me and we kissed.
"Forever and Always" she said putting her head back on my chest.
"forever and always. we will somehow always come back to eachother forever." i whispered closing my eyes
