-Seven Months Ago-
Richie opened his locker and pulled out his textbooks. He didn't exactly love school, and he didn't exactly hate it. He just didn't care.
He closed his locker to find one of his friends, Stanley Uris, waiting for him.
"Hello there, Stanny boy!" Richie put on a fake British accent.
"C'mon, Richie." Stanley moaned, rolling his eyes. (Although Richie could only see one eye, because the other was covered by his curly blonde) hair. "Cut the crap and let's head to third period."
"Right-o!" Richie said. He picked up his books and his backpack and skipped alongside next to Stanley.
As they walked up the stairs, Stan said to Richie how him and Bill went on another date last night.
"Damn," Richie commented. "Can't be long before you both lose your virginity, right?"
"Shut up, dickwad. We're NOT gonna have sex." Stanley groaned. He walked a little faster than Richie to try to avoid his questions. Although, the truth was that both of them already had lost their virginity a couple days ago. They both swore on their lives not to tell a soul.
"Wait up!" Richie exclaimed. "My poor athletic skills can't keep up with your sexy track star legs!"
Stan sighed and blew his hair out of his face. He wanted to cut it, but Bill always insisted on keeping it long and curly. "I-I'ts really c-cute." Bill had told him last night. All Stanley did was blush and kissed him on the cheek softly.
"So what about you, Richie?" Stan asked him.
"What??" Richie asked.
"Who are you gonna lose your virginity with?" Stanley clarified. "That is if anybody's willing to do it."
Richie didn't say anything. He didn't want Stan to know.
"C'mon, Trashmouth?" Stanley teased. "Cat got your tongue? Or rather, Eddie?"
Richie blushed just hearing his name.
Although Stan was like Richie, Richie still hadn't come out to any of his friends. He had always felt like this. He always did prefer boys over girls. He had never actually had an actual crush before until he was in 4th grade.
It was recess, and Richie usually spent his time behind the school practicing his voices or playing with bugs he found. Until one day, someone came around the corner of his sacred little hideaway.
It was a boy in his grade. He knew this because he had seen him before even though they weren't in the same class.
The boy was very short for 9 years old. Probably about 4'6. (At the time, Richie had been about 4'10).
The boy had curly dark brown hair, and large chocolatey brown eyes. He was blushing a little, which gave Richie a view to his slightly transparent freckles across his nose.Richie stopped toying with the bug he found. He didn't move. He just sat there, looking like an idiot.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to invade your privacy." The boy said and left quickly.
"WAIT!" Richie had shouted.
The boy turned around. "Hmm?"
"Your new here, right?" Richie asked.
"Uh, yeah, why?" The boy responded.
"Just wondering." Richie said. He looked at the ground, and pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose with his sweaty thumb.
