Victoria POV.
She seemed to hesitate to reply, but after a few moments she did.
"you could say i slammed a certain someone's head into a locker a bit too many times." she smirked and chuckled to herself a bit.
"was that certain someone Liam." I said, raising an eyebrow and smiling a bit. I was pretty sure it was, being as Liam and his friends picked on her a bit in the halls - and she looked like the kind of person that would just snap, If you know what I mean.
"you looked like you got into a bit of a nasty fight yourself, hm?" she says, winking at me, the smirk still present on her face. "Your parents seemed really happy about that." she continues.
"I wouldn't know, they left the minuet I got home." I reply laughing a bit - a regretful tone in my voice, which I think she noticed because she stopped smirking and looked at her shoes.
"I'm guessing you're here to get away too, huh?" she says, looking up at me again. Her eyes were grey and lifeless.
"maybe." I say, which makes her chuckle. I feel her eyes on me, and I look at her again. She's looking at my clothes with a confused expression - but she doesn't say anything. "You like my clothes?" I say sarcastically, which makes her look away quickly in embarrassment.
We laugh and talk for a bit longer until the sun starts to rise, and then we say our goodbye's. The sunrise was beautiful, the oranges and reds seeming to paint the sky. I was in a seemingly good mood, maybe it was the sunrise or maybe it was that I had a decent conversation with someone who didn't think I was a rich snob.
But, that feeling didn't last much longer. When I got home and opened my front door - my sister was standing there crossing her arms. I didn't know a ten-year-old could be so intimidating. I sighed and crossed my arms in response, giving her a death glare.
"I could've died here, all by myself!" she says, clearly upset, but I just found it annoying.
"would that be such a bad thing?" I reply - laughing to myself a bit, not really kidding. She rolls her eyes and stomps up to her room.
