After the events of the interdimensional travel, Doctor Octopus decided to try and get himself situated in this new world. Exchanging the items in one of the suitcases for cash, Doctor Octopus decided to rent an apartment near a technological company. Although the interview for the job went better than expected, he didn't hear back from them for over three weeks. Doctor Octopus tried searching for other jobs related to his field, but only one of them accepted him. Although it wasn't his ideal job, he had to settle with it for now. Once he arrived to the location, he met himself with a man on a monitor, unable to see his face.
???: Welcome to my domain, Doctor Otto Octavius
Doctor Octopus: Thank you for the welcome, but may I ask to see you in person?
???: I'm afraid that won't be possible Doctor Otto Octavius
Doctor Octopus: May I know why? If you don't mind sir?
???: Currently I have a condition that impairs me physically, making me unable to see or move properly
Doctor Octopus: Although the job may be just creating artificial lifeforms genetics, I may be able to help fight your condition sir
???: And how would you be able to do that Doctor?
Doctor Octopus: I can create artificial eyes and limbs with my current knowledge in technology sir, of course, you'll have to fund my research further in return
???: That won't be a problem Doctor, I'll gladly fund your research more, in exchange for obeying my simple requests and locking the deal
Doctor Octopus: Meaning I can never quit correct?
???: Of Course
Doctor Octopus saw the binding, but since he had no other options . . .
Doctor Octopus: Then I accept
Once the meeting was over, Doctor Octopus left with a smile on his face, hoping to put his name on the news as a new man of tomorrow. Little did he know, he would begin working for the greatest villain of this new world, unable to break his contract willingly
