Chapter 9

The two boys run down the hallway to Wilburs room. "Ok Tubbo, this is Wilburs room. Wilbur is the middle child prince guy. You ready?" 

"Of course, maybe? I don't know Tommy I'm scared. This is royalty!" 

"So am I," he puts his hand on his shoulder, "don't be a pussy." Tommy opens the door to find nothing there. "Maybe he's in the kitchen or something.. Anyway, since he's not here lets go meet Techno instead. He's the oldest."

They run down the hall to Technoblade's room. When they open the door they see him at his desk with his stupid looking glasses on. Well at least Tommy thought they looked stupid, "Hey Techno! This is my new friend, Tubbo!" 

He jumps, "Jesus Tommy at least knock first.. Hello Tubbo," he stands and walks over to the door, "a pleasure to meet you." They shake hands and Tubbo can barely say a word. He looks so.. royal? Is that how to put it? So professional but carefree at the same time.. 

"H-hello Prince Technoblade." 

"Now Tommy, I have to get back to my work, go bother Wilbur or something." 

"Actually I was going to ask, have you seen Wilbur? He wasn't in his room."

"Um maybe check the kitchen? I don't know just leave me alone." He pushes them out of his room and closes the door. 

"Well that went quite nicely didn't it Tubbo?" Tommy puts his hands on his hips. "Now lets go find Wilbur, he's funner."

"Alrighty!" he smiles.

The two boys run downstairs to the kitchens to find the workers all looking for the middle child. Everyone was running to all the corners of the castle to find Wilbur. "Is everything alright?" Tommy asks, obviously concerned. Though he doesn't show it he really does care for his brothers.

"We can't find Prince Wilbur anywhere, we've been looking for him since this morning. His closet was missing clothes and small instruments were gone."

"Wait what.." Tommy becomes worried. "I should have been here.." He keeps repeating this phrase as he starts rapidly thinking of places he could be. "Me and Tubbo will go look in the village."

"Ok be back safely by 9 o'clock.." the servant says, "Eliza!"

"Yes ma'am." 

"Go with the boys, make sure they don't get kidnapped or something.."

"Yes ma'am!"

"Let's go."

They make it to the village, asking around if people have seen the tall Prince. Tubbos asks all of his friends and his family joins in and starts searching along side the youngest prince.

"I'm sorry, I haven't seen him.." they all say. Everyone in the village. No one has seen Wilbur.

Tommy breaks down crying. I should've been with him. I should have been hanging out with him today. I didn't even ask him how he was feeling. It's all my fault. Its all my- he gets broken out of his thoughts by Tubbo, enclosing him in a hug. "It's ok Tommy.. it's alright." he whispers words of comfort as Tommy bawls. 

Eliza stands behind Tubbo, a tear falling from her eye. She wipes it away, immediately. "Tommy we need to go home, it was nice meeting you Tubbo."

"Alright." He wipes away his tears and stands up. "I'm sorry for worrying you all, we'll find him." He gives the entire village a huge smile and walks away, Eliza not so far behind. 

"I'm sorry Tommy, we really did try.." She puts a hand on his arm, "we'll find him soon enough." She smiles but inside she knows that now that Wilbur is gone and doesn't want to be found and it will stay that way until he does want to be found.

When they arrive home, Eliza escorts a crying Tommy up the stairs. He doesn't go to his own room but he goes to Technoblades. Understandable.

When he gets there he pushes the door open so hard it almost falls off its hinges. He can't speak, he can't see, he can barely breathe. "T-Techno.."

Technoblade runs to the door and hugs Tommy very tight. I thought he would be in the village. I thought Tommy would find him and he would be safe. "Why would Wilbur run away Techno.." Tommy  tried to say between choked breaths and sobs. 

"I don't know Tommy but we'll find him. I swear."

"People keep telling me that but what if we don't find him?" Tommy looks up at Techno through the hug.

Technoblade doesn't know what to say, for the first- no second, time in his life he has no clue what to say. "I-" a tear falls from his eye, "I don't know what we'd do." He starts crying into Tommy and they are just crying together in a very tight hug. 

This is the second time he had seen Techno cry, he doesn't even remember the first time that well but he remembers it well enough. It was terrible, just as this is. The loss of another family member. But this one has a chance of coming back though. Right?
