tate - sweater weather

The weather outside was cold and rainy; anyone would feel miserable merely gazing out the window and catching a glimpse of the vast grey sky. But not you. This was your favourite time of year. Why? It's the season of chunky sweaters, layers of blankets, and steaming cups of tea. Oh, and the fact that rain was an excuse to spend all day in you room with Tate.

You were head-over-heels in love with Tate Langdon. He was your first proper boyfriend. Well, as proper as you can get, being ghosts and all. That's what made you happy. Knowing he will for always and ever, be yours. You were to spend eternity together, never aging, never fearful of what may happen to the other; just together.

You were currently seated on your bed, Tate sitting across from you, playing a game chess.
"And..." You move your queen to meet his king.
"Checkmate!" You knock down his king and smile in victory.
"Goddamn it, y/n! You always win."
"Hmm, I wonder what that proves then?" You tease, taking his hand in yours.
"I guess winners deserve to be rewarded." He leans in and kisses you softly. He turns your hands over in his and draws circles on your palms.
"I"m so glad I have you, y/n. I finally feel like my eternity will be well spent."
"Tate," you run your fingers through his hair, before pressing your lips to his. He kisses you back, softly, embracing you in his arms. Ever since you first moved into this house, he has been there for you; supported you, tried to save you from your death. It was the teenage romance you always wanted to have, and it was going to stay that way forever.

Tate pulled back and ran his hands down your bare arms. You had goosebumps.
"You're cold," she said, removing his sweater and offering it to you.
"And you're sweet!" you kissed his cheek.
The two of you lay huddled together in your bed, layers of blankets to keep you warm, till you fell asleep in his arms.
