The water is warm on my skin. I lay, completely relaxed, submerged in rose-scented bubbles. This is truly relaxing. The tiles surrounding me are crisp and new, all the filth has long gone with the renovations. I shudder to think how many met their end in this very bathroom; not out of fear, for I know he would never hurt me, but sympathy. I shut my eyes and allow myself to be fully present in the moment. I should do this more often.
"Darling," He purrs softly, as I flutter my eyes open to meet his. James March is seated on the rim of the bath. I watch as he plunges his hand into the water, and finds my thigh, stroking it gently.
"Mind if I join you?" He whispers.
"Please."
I keep my eyes on him as he strips down and proceeds to make his way into the water. I scoot forwards as sits behind me. I lay my head on his chest, a thick layer of bubbles preserving my modesty. His hands find my stomach and rest there, feeling my breath rise and fall.
"Dearest," he begins. "How lucky I am to have you, y/n; to be in love with someone who returns the affection."
"Aw, James." I crane my neck around to face him and kiss his lips lightly.
"Lean forward, darling." He whispers. I pull myself up and rest my chest on my knees. He begins to run his hands up my spine, massaging my back deeply. I let out a small moan, as the knots in my back loosen at his touch. I begin to melt away; despite being with James for a long while, I still get butterflies every time I feel his touch.
James proceeds to crane his neck down, as his lips make contact with my skin. With every kiss, my euphoria grows.
"You smell exquisite, my dear, like roses" I feel his lips pull away from me, as he whispers in my ear. I bite my lip. "My favourite scent."
