The Lost Keys

Chapter 2

As you walk into the gym all eyes are on you.

"y/n-chan, what are you doing here? Did u come to watch us practice?!" asked Hinata
"No Hinata I didn't but you'll find out why I'm here in a few minutes" you say.

"N/n?" yamaguchi says softly behind you.
"Yes yams?" you show him a sweet smile.
"Why are you here? It's after normal school hours. Do your parents know your here and safe?!" he says in a worried tone
"It's OK yams, my parents know where I am don't worry" you pat his head and open you mouth to speak when coach Ukai and Takeda sensei walk in.

"OK boys, gather up!" Coach Ukai shouts. The boys gather around and sit in a circle while you go stand beside Kiyoko and Yachi.

"Y/n San!" Yachi exclaimes and then hugs you.
"hey yaachan" you say, hugging her back.
"n/n San, we missed you" kiyoko says smiling.
"hey kiyoko San, I missed you guys too" you say.

Kiyoko and Yachi were your first ever friends. You all went to the same elementary school and you have been friends ever since, but when you moved into middle school you guys lost touch a little due to busy schedules.

"OK boys listen up, this is l/n y/n, and she is the new player for Karasuno High school's boys volleyball team" coach Ukai states, then someone speaks up

"Not that I am against this or against you l/n, but aren't you a girl?" sugawara says.

"Yes, I am a girl, but I tried out for the girls team and I don't want this to sound like bragging at all but... They said I was too good so they set up a meeting with coach Ukai and welp, here I am" you said nervously while scratching the back of your neck.

"Ah OK, that's pretty cool, if your too good for the girls team I'd love to see what you can do" Sugawara said. You smile in response, about to reply when you hear a voice, so familiar it almost brought tears to your eyes.

"Wow y/n-chan, guess you've gotten better since we last met" Tanaka says, smirking.

"TANAKA?!" you shout in disbelief.
