A woman sat with tears in her eyes while she held her baby in her arms. His soft angelic face sleeping peacefully in the blanket he was swaddled in, but that wasn't the reason she was crying.

She looked at him as he had caramel puppy dog ears that would twitch every 2 minutes where his growing hair was. She had to cut holes in his diapers whenever she found out he had a tail as well.

She didn't remember what happened, or how it came to be this, but now she sat only in her small house with a soft baby in her arms.

"O-one day, I hope someone l-loves you for who you are, m-my son. I-I'm so sorry you have to be like this." She whispered to her son while she brushed her hand against his cheek as she felt his tail wag inside the blanket.

She smiled weakly at him before she looked outside and sighed.

It's so gloomy outside today.

Looking back down at her son, she smiled softly as she thought of something.

No matter what you look like, you'll always be my son, and I'll love you unconditionally.

Her life continued the same way over and over as if it was on repeat. She would watch as he would a giggly baby with no issues, except the fact his little ears would sometimes flop over his face, but she took those times to giggle at his cute behavior whenever he would look up so confused, then would pout before trying to remove the ears off his face and look back at her with his toothless smile, as if he wasn't fighting with his ears.

To her surprise, it wasn't as hard as she thought taking care of him. He was like every other child when it came to changing their diapers, or changing them into clean clothes, except there were only 2 differences that she noticed.

The first time she went to breastfeed him, he looked a bit confused when he saw where the nibbled was placed as if he expected it to be somewhere else, but either way, he latched on like any baby would; as his life depended on it.

It happened like that for a constant week until he realized it was supposed to be there, in which he slowly started to immediately grab ahold of it and close his eyes happily.

Bath time though...that was another story.

As most parents know, not all babies like taking baths, some people don't to this day. but her son was different.

When she placed him in the small baby bathtub she bought for him, it was already prepped with bubbles that had the smell of vanilla and cocoa beans, something that she found matching her son's cute personality.

She expected him to scream, throw a fit, cry, kick her till his little legs gave out. But she watched as a cute squeal emitted from his small mouth before he was placed in the soapy water. His curious eyes grew wider every time he looked at the water around him before he slammed his hands in the water, causing cute giggles to fall from his lips before he did it again and again, making his giggles turn into loud squeals of excitement that made his mother smile.

As she watched her son happily play with the bubbles around him, she decided to start getting his hair wet, so she turned to the faucet next to her and waited for the water to be a warm enough temperature for her son before she started filling up the cup.

While she was busy with that, she listened as her son's cute face turned to look at the running water as his curious eyes left the bubbles, but a cute 'woah' fell from his small lips, even though it wasn't much but a small sound before he giggled and splashed the water on her, causing her to gasp before she looked at the little puppy boy, who only smiled back at her.

"You silly boy," She cooed, a bright boxy smile on her face as she moved over to him and kissed him on his little nose, causing him to squeal cutely and make his small tail splash around in the water, not to mention his little ear twitching cutely as he hugged his chubby chest.

Chuckling, she shook her head with a smile on her face before she removed the cup from the flowing water and lightly allowed the water to flow over his head. She watched as he looked quite shocked by the water's sudden force, but once he could see his mother again, a cute giggle fell from his lips before he splashed the water, as if he wanted her to do it again.

"I don't get you, little boy, " she mumbled as she stared into his puppy brown eyes, "but I know I'm never going to let anyone hurt you." He smiled happily at her as his tail wagged a little bit harder under the water before she started to wash his hair.

After a refreshing bath, the baby was all clean as he was now wrapped in a brown bear towel, his cute chubby fingers being sucked on as he watched his mother find some clothes for him to wear.

Once she did, she placed him on the diaper changing station before she unwrapped the towel from his body, revealing his naked body as a small squeak fell from his lips.

"I know baby, but I have to get you changed. You can't stay in the bear towel forever." She softly said, a calm smile on her lips before she grabbed a diaper with one hand while the other grabbed his small ankles to lift them and place the diaper under his bottom.

She placed some baby powder between his legs before she sealed the diaper on his body, watching as her son stopped sucking on his hand, too interesting at what his mother was doing to pay attention to his hand.

Chuckling, she bent down to kiss his chubby belly before she grabbed a pastel purple onesie, not expecting him to squeal happily as his little eyes sparkled.

"You like the color purple don't you?" She asked, her smile growing wider before she got his little feet in the onesie and soon got the rest of his body inside, making sure all of his buttons were done before she grabbed him and gave him a big kiss on his cheek, causing him to giggle cutely.

"I love you bub, and nothing will ever stop me from loving you and your curious little self."
