IT WAS FALL and Mcgonagall had gathered all the second and third years for a trip to Hogsmeade.  Etta  and Enzo had become quite close. Sharing chocolate frogs, fighting over the cards, laughing at Zonko's prank products, helping the twins fool the professors. They laughed as they trudged along the damp gravel path that had been rained of the night before.

"I don't think I'll ever get enough of the coloured leaves!"

"You act like you've never seen fall before Etta." Enzo nudged her. If only he knew.

"Something like that." She laughed and continued on, raving about the crisp weather.

"Gotcha cousin!" A boy's voice sounded behind him as Enzos beanie was yanked off his head.

"Give it back Dray!" Enzo hit the boy who was slightly taller than him.

"I think you're gonna have to catch me!"

"I'm not doing that."

"Fine then. You come chase me or I'll tell Odinson what you told me yesterday!"

"No! Fine I'll chase you. I'll be back Etta." And so the two cousins ran off, white and brown hair flopping in the wind as they nearly tripped over the piles of leaves.

"Vyllie!" Alora and Freya's sweet voices called out from a few meters behind. Their small feet finally caught up to her and they each wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"So. You and Berkshire huh?" Freya teased her.

"No. No. No! Enzo's just a friend, plus he's related to Malfoy, bloody prick." Etta made a disgusted face at Freya.

"Oh come on, he's cute!" Alora tweeted.

"Then you date him!" The three girls laughed.

The rest of the walk was spent talking about how Dean Thomas called Freya cute, and how Alora's brother Maxwell almost got suspended for doing something bad in that bathrooms, what he did was unknown to the three young girls. They arrived at Hogsmeade and Mcgonagall let them all explore the shops. They shopped at Madam Barrie's Closet, Zonko's Trick Shop, candy stores, Hogshead (which they were kicked out of abruptly) and many other stores. Eventually they ran into Enzo, Blaise who was a tubby dark skinned boy, Theo who had braces and was awfully skinny, and Draco, the queen bee of prickville.

"Well if it isn't Slytherin's finest ladies! Come to watch the big boys yeah?" Draco said proudly.

"You've got the first part right Malfoy, now where have you four been? I haven't seen you since the walk here?"

"Been looking for Pucey, turns out he was with Astoria Greengrass!" Enzo told the girls, Alora's face dropped slightly when she heard this. She'd fancied him harder than Mer and Der.

"Astoria? Where's Adrian now?" Freya questioned.

"Still with the girl, doing god knows what."

"You really think Adrian's gonna kiss her or something? His lastname is practically 'Pussy'." Draco laughed.

"Don't be rude Draco." Etta scolded him.

"Who are you? My parent? I guess you've got to make up for not having a dad." Draco shoved in her face. The words hurt Etta. She was basically orphaned yes, she knew her parents but they weren't allowed to be very present. They had certain "work" related issues they could not discuss.

"I have a dad, Malfoy."

"Yeah? Where is he?" He said while putting a hand up to his forehead, pretending to search the skies for them. Technically he wasn't wrong. If only you knew. She thought to herself.

"He works out of the country. Unlike you, who's had everything handed to them on a silver platter. At least my parents had the decency to not raise my sisters and I as spoilt brats." She spat at him.

"You know what-"

"Okay that's enough. Draco back down man." Enzo got between the two.

"No Enzo. Talk Malfoy." Etta nudged the brunette boy out of the way, "What were you gonna say?"

"I doubt your father works. He's probably a deadbeat that can't take care of his own children. Fucking muggles man, filthy." Draco watched as steam blew out of her ears. She was holding back every bone in her body not to yell, my father is not a muggle! But alas she retaliated, sinking back into her shell.

"Whatever Malfoy." And the three girls walked away.

"Seriously?" Enzo knocked Draco's shoulder as he trudged by, following after Etta and the girls. Draco and his goonies walked away. He did feel bad, but he didn't want to admit it went too far. His parents were having issues and he started to take it out on other people. Once Enzo had caught up to the girls, he apologized to Etta.

"It's okay Enzo, he's Draco. You have to kinda expect things like that."

"It shouldn't be that way. I've tried to talk to him, but he doesn't listen. It's like he's always stuck in this state where everything is always how he wants it. It's like he's never wrong in his eyes." Enzo ranted.

"Yeah, I know a person like that." Etta was talking about her uncle, who she'd really only heard stories of. He used to visit occasionally, but it became difficult after her mother cut ties with her father's side of the family. The reason for this was unknown.

"I'm really sorry Etta."

"Don't be. He did this, not you. Don't blame yourself." She stiffled a smile and continued with their day, frequently laughing and engaging in random conversations. They were becoming best of friends, much to Draco's demise.
