Allow me to tell you

The story of the cat and the bluejay

Both despised each other

Which was the intention of nature

But what wasn't the intention

was their interest in one another

The two couldn't stand each other

Yet couldn't keep away

One's words intriguing the other

Every detail more and more alluring

It started as a longing to know about the other

And then into a rage

Slowly hating the fact that they were not content with their qualities

Slowly hating how they hated the things the other adored

What the other wanted to possess

But they hated

The Bluejay adored the cat's skill

The cat adored the Bluejay's free will

The cat wanted to be like the Bluejay

The Bluejay wanted to be like the cat

But they both despised

They both despised how the other couldn't adore their qualities

Like they did

That Bluejay who felt oh so inferior

Looked like the most beautiful, peaceful and wonderful creature to the cat

And that cat who felt oh so like a king upon a broken throne

Looked like the most incredible, dazzling role model to the Bluejay

But eventually they could tell

That the look in their eyes was the same

And to each other

They both sat upon a golden throne
