"So theres this great party in the Bx tonight, if y'all wanna go." Tripp told Devon.
Trip was lightskin and had slighly big teeth. He was skinny and lanky.
He had a short bushy afro and light green eyes.
At first you wouldn't believe he dated Devon.
"I don't do parties, you know this." Alanis says as she passes the blunt to Tripp.
The weed smoke was so thick from the hotbox you could barely breathe and Alanis was starting to sweat her curls out.
"I might go." Devon laughs.
"What about Christian?" Tripp asks him.
"I don't know, i think he's mad me. For the past few days he's been really iffy toward me." Devon tries to shrug off.
"Maybe he's on his period." Alanis said interrupting them.
Silence followed for several seconds before Devon swallowed in his breath, scrunched up his face then they were all laughing.
"Is it about the girlfriend?" Alanis continued.
"I don't know. Im not the friend he talks to about relationships. If anything he's closer to Elias." Devon explained to him.
"So why isn't he living witb Elias?" Alanis asked him.
Devon shrugged, he couldn't come up with answer. Truth is Devon's always felt neglected in the friendship.
"Why aren't you dead yet, bitch?" Devon said playfully, he was kind of sensitive and at any moment of perceived weakness he gets defensive.
"I just don't like the way he goes about certain things." Devon got off his chest. This was his thing though, it's what pulled people to him.
"I think you're being a bit dramatic." Tripp said. They car once laughed again.
Tripp began to roll up another blunt while Lani finally let her window down.
For a while Lani's comment about Elias lurked in his pysche he was begining to question his friendship with Christian.
