        Sakura's POV

I opened my eyes slowly. It felt like my eyelids weighed at least five pounds each. I tried to sit up, but I had a horrendous headache. It caused me to clutch my head and cradle it in my hands. It was then I heard arguing outside the door.

"None of this would have happened if you had just done your job and protected her." Said a mans voice. It was deep and familiar. It was Itachi's.

"You don't think I tried? Anyways why do you care so much about her? She is still as weak and pathetic as she was when we were younger." I didn't even have to guess. I knew that was Sasuke. My heart sank a little bit. I continued to listen, but heard nothing for a few seconds. Then I heard...

        *smack*

I did not know who hit who, but I had a pretty good idea. Just then the door opened, revealing a stressed out looking Itachi. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw I was awake. He quickly made his way over to me and sat down on the bed and placed a hand on my leg.

"You're finally awake. How do you feel?" He asked me.

"Honestly, not very good." I admitted. He nodded. "How long was I asleep?" I asked him.

"About three days." He responded. My eyes widened. "We aren't completely sure what happened to you. But we did our hardest to make sure you would be okay. We aren't medic ninja, unlike you." He stated. I nodded.

"My apologies for worrying you all and putting you all through this." I said. I felt absolutely terrible about this all.

"No need to apologize. You did nothing wrong." Itachi said with a smile. I nodded.

"Why were you and Sasuke arguing?" I asked him.

"I was hoping you wouldn't hear that. How much did you hear?" He asked me.

"Just the end. When Sasuke decided to call me weak and pathetic." I said letting out an angry sigh.

"I see. Well then you must have heard how I felt about him saying that." He said with a chuckle. I chuckled along with him.

"You didn't have to do that, you know." I told him. He looked up at me.

"You seem to be misunderstanding. I wanted to do that. He had no right to say such things." Itachi said. I nodded.

"He just hates me. Always have, always will." I said while looking down.

"Well that's his problem. Don't plague yourself with stuff concerning him." He said. I gave him a smile. He was right.

"Thank you, I won't." I said as I bowed my head to him.

"Why are you thanking me? He asked curiously.

"For being so kind to me." I told him. I honestly was very grateful for his kindness.

"Don't be absurd. What kind of person would I be if I was rude to my room mate?" He said.

"Sasuke." I responded. Both Itachi and I bursted out into laughter. Our laughter died out when the door opened to reveal Sasuke. He was looking as hateful as ever.

"Pein want's to see you guys." He said, hatred and anger clinging to his voice. I looked at Itachi with a worrisome expression.

"Don't worry, he'll get over it." Itachi said as he stood up and walked over to the door. He stopped and turned around. "Are you coming?" He asked and began to chuckle at my startled expression. I could feel the heat rise to my cheek as I stood up. "Don't forget your robe." He added. I stopped dead in my tracks and looked around. I found it lying onto the couch. I threw it on and walked out the door with Itachi.

The walk to Pein's office was silent. I guess I wasn't the only one who was slightly fearful of him. when we approached the door I got a nervous feeling and slowed down dramatically. Itachi stopped and looked at me.

"There's no need to be worried. He can't harm you any way. I'm going to be there too, remember." He said. I nodded.

"Appears I'm just being foolish. My apologies." I said as I bowed my head.

"No need. Now let's get going so we don't make leader wait too long." He said as he continued walking again. I followed in suit behind him. When we got to the door, Itachi knocked and waited for a responce.

"Enter." Said a voice on the other side. Itachi opened the door and walked in. I followed in right behind him. Pein eyed me up for a brief moment before speaking. "I'm glad you are finally awake, Sakura. You gave us all quite a scare." Pein said. My eyes widened for a brief moment.

"I'm sorry for worrying you all. I didn't meant to cause so much trouble." I said as I looked down at my feet.

"All is well. No need to worry about things that are in the past now." He said. I nodded.

"So what did you want?" Itachi asked abruptly. The coldness that leaked off his words surprised me. Never have I ever seen Itachi look so terrifying.

"Ah yes. Since the attack of the Leaf Village Anbu, it has brought to my attention that we need to be more on our toes. That is why, Itachi, I am ordering you to protect Sakura from the Anbu. If you are going to ask why I have assigned you to this, it is because you were once apart of the Leaf Village Anbu, so thus you know how they think, and they're stragedies. You are the best choice to follow out this mission." Pein said. I looked over at Itachi, but he appeared to bea emotionless. It sent chills down my spine.

        "Understood." Itachi responded.

"That is all. You both may leave." Pein said. Itachi and I exited his office. When we were finally out, I looked over at Itachi, but that expression was still there, until he looked back at me. His facial expression softened almost instantly.

"Everything all right?" He asked me. I nodded.

"Yes I am well." I responded.

"You must be hungry, after all, we couldn't find much to feed you while you were asleep." Itach said.

"I'm actually not hungry at all. In a little while I bet I'll be starving." I told him. He nodded,

"Well, let's go join the others. They'll be happy to know you are awake and well." He said as he walked began to walk down the hall with me at his side. When we entered the room, it took a moment for everyone to notice us.

"Ah, Sakura. Finally awake I see." Sasori said. I nodded and smiled at him.

"Lookin as hot as ever too." Hidan said with a peverted smile.

"Oh shut up." I said to him with a glare.

"I mean it though. That cloak really does suit you." He said with a wink. I felt myself begin to blush. Everyone else told me that they were glad I was okay and finally awake. We just pretty much hung out and kept everything simple. I let out a yawn and everyone looked at me.

"You can't be tired all ready! You slept for three days straight!" Deidara exclaimed. I chuckled at him.

"I know. But all of a sudden I got really tired. I think I'm going to lay down for a while." I said as I headed for Itachi and I's room. But when I got there, Sasuke was leaning against the wall in front of the door. He had his arms crossed over his chest and his head was down. When I neared closer he looked up at me, but I gradually slowed down. I got about three feet from him when I stopped all together.

"I need to talk to you." Sasuke said as he opened the door to the room and walked in.
