Dangerous Illusion

"Yes, I'm running a bit late but I'll be there soon Chaeryoung" I exclaim laughing, "well hurry because your stupid boyfriend is making me mad" she huffs.

"Yea, yea. Bye" I say then hang up. It's pouring rain outside, the weather is so bad. On my first day back from spring break.

I sigh stepping out of the building I stopped in because Chaeryoung was calling and I didn't want to get my phone wet.

Holding my umbrella above my head, I continue walking with the semi large crowd in the direction of my school.

As I walk I see a guy sitting on the ground in the pouring rain. I frown a bit seeing everyone walking straight passed the homeless guy.

I sigh, due to my inability to be mean I walk over sitting my umbrella down so it's connected to the bar behind him and above his head. I quickly hand him a few of my snacks then rush off towards my school.

I get in the doors somewhat soaked, actually mostly soaked. I go to the cafeteria since that's where Chaeryoung and Beomgyu are.

"He- oh my, where the hell is your umbrella ?" Chaeryoung stops the hug. I laugh, "there was a homeless guy and-" "you didn't... really ?" Beomgyu laughs.

"I did...I gave him the umbrella" I sigh. He laughs taking off his jacket, "here" he smiles handing it over to me.

"Where's Jaemin ?" I ask looking around, "oh you know...just around" Chaeryoung shrugs.

I narrow my eyes, "did you tell him to leave ? Again ?" I ask her. She shakes her head making Beomgyu laugh, "she literally hates your boyfriend" he says.

"He's so...I don't know. Just, yeah" she shrugs, "he's our childhood friend" I laugh as we leave the cafeteria.

"Okay and ? He still can be annoying. I love him but-" "JIAE !" we hear Jaemin shouting my name.

We all share looks, "told you" Chaeryoung whispers as we turn around seeing Jaemin rush over "aw baby, you were caught in the rain ?" He pouts.

I hum nodding then we share a kiss, "I missed you" he smiles. I smile, "I missed you too" I say.

"So, I have to meet with Jisung and Chenle but I'll see you guys in class. I love you" he tells me. I hum nodding and he walks off.

"You didn't say it back" Beomgyu says. I glare at him, "he walked away to fast' I shrug.

"Your a fucking lier. Stop stringing him along" Chaeryoung tells me nudging me. I sigh rolling my eyes, "it'll break his heart" I say.

"Stop being so nice all the time" Beomgyu laughs.

Chaeryoung, Beomgyu, Jaemin and I all grew up together. Our parents were best friends so naturally we became best friends. We know literally everything about each other.

They know how nice I am, the nicest out of us all but I must admit my niceness gets me into things I don't want to be in. Hence the relationship with Jaemin.

It was great at first, we've been together for almost two years but it's the same thing all the time. It's so boring, it's time consuming but not in a good way.

He was just that childhood friend that you date because you feel like you owe it to yourselves and now I don't know how to end it.

"Okay, so are we going to study at Chaer's or no ?" Beomgyu asks as I close my locker. I shrug, "I was thinking we could go get some coffee and study there" Jaemin smiles.
