Today is the day of the ball. I head to the attic, and pull open the trunk of my mother's best items. I first pull out the beautiful ball gown. It is a pale blue with lighter blue floral decorations.

Next is the mask, a beautiful silver with floral designs. Silver strands fall from the mask.

I then search for that one trunk, and smile brightly when I find it. Inside is two things. A pair of glass slippers, and a beautiful diamond necklace. On the necklace, on the inner part by the clasp, my name was engraved. Y/N.

I smile, gathering everything and heading to prepare. A knock sounds on my door. Yang is there. "I tied him to your post with some hay." He smiles. "He's already saddled up." I thank him and he leaves. Checking the time, I panic, its almost 6:30. I slide on the beautiful dress, then the shoes. Next is the necklace, then I prepare my hair. I take out the curlers I wore overnight, letting my long black hair down in beautiful curls. I pull the mask on over it, sitting it in place comfortably. I clasp the necklace over my neck. Its almost time to go, I only have a half hour till the ball starts, and it takes 25 minutes to get to the palace. I go outside, sliding my foot in the saddle, and hopping on after untying Ace. I hold onto the reins, as we trot down the paths to the palace. Soon, we approach the massive structure. It looks beautiful on the outside. I slow Ace down, and see a small pond. I let him take a quick drink. I tie him by the bushes, with linger grass there. I hold my dress up as I walk inside, and past the guards who stare at me. Their first impression of me is a fairy. A beautiful fairy, who looks innocent, and amazing. I follow the signs, stopping at a pair of double doors. I lightly bow to the two guards, who slowly pull open the doors for me. I hear the quieting of the people inside, as I slowly walk in, my crystal blue eyes staring ahead. People stare in awe at my beauty, but I dont know that's why they stare. I consciously touch my soft hair, thinking its messed up or something. I head to get a drink. The loud voice of a butler sounds throughout the ballroom. "Greetings!" He yells. "The King will arrive shortly! Until then, enjoy the ball!"
