Settling in

"Preesha get up" dad shouted from the kitchen making me jump up out my sleep. I hate when he do that shit "I'm up dad".

I got up a few minutes after dad woke me up, and got me a lil outfit put together on my bed. I was lowkey rushing cause I woke up later than I'm supposed to. I grabbed a towel and ran to my bathroom turning my shower on letting the water get warmer.

"Whew that was a nice shower".

With my towel wrapped around me I sat down in my chair in front of my vanity. Doing a light beat on my face wit some lip liner adding a lil gloss on top. I hurried up getting dressed cause I'm definitely finna be late.

Walking into my first period I had just made it in before the bell first person I spot is ole dude.
I sit down Nd he starin at me

"Can I help you?"

"Nah shorty wassup ian really introduce my self the otha day my name dion".

I was lowkey shocked he was talking to me it's been 3 days since I been here and he just now saying something.

Laughing a lil bit. "it's coo and nice to meet you"
"Quiet you two" me and dion looked up at the teacher, since I been here I can already tell she gone be my least favorite here.

As the teacher speaking I see him staring at me out my peripheral but ian gone say nun ion mind it lol.

"Today you guys will start the partner project, for this one I'll let you guys choose partners. Make sure you make the right decision and don't pick a friend you know you'll goof off with".

I ain't know nobody in this class but dion. I still looked around the room tho to see if I would see somebody to partner up with. But everybody was all grouped up and shit so I ain't have no choice but to ask him.

"You wanna be part-" as I was asking him he cut me off

"nah I'm coo I usually just work by myself".

"Oh ok" dude has me confused one minute he all coo the next he weird like huh.

I raised my hand, "um Mrs Wilson I ain't got no partner"
She looked around and looked at dion and smiled then she made her way to us

"hey dion I know this isn't your thing but this young lady needs a partner and you two seemed to have made acquaintance"

"Nah not really but I guess Mrs Wilson he said then turned his body towards me.

She gave us a packet to look through I was a lil uncomfortable working with him knowing he ain't wanna work with me.

As Mrs Wilson was walking away "oh and I forgot to mention this project will be 50% summative for this semester and you guys have two weeks to gather research and information these projects will be presented in class".

We then began to start brainstorming on what our topic for this project would be. This assignment was containing life anything about life and we still couldn't figure anything out.

  "What about mental illnesses"
  "Nah too many people probably already doing that shit we gotta think deep"

As we continued to brainstorm the bell eventually  rang and we still hadn't come up with anything

   "You wanna slide by my crib afta schoo and we can continue"
   "Yea I guess", I really ain't want to but this half our grade.

as we were walking out the class he takes his phone out his pocket "hea put yo numba in ma phone", I stored my number in and handed him his phone back.

   "I'll text you where to meet me before last period!" he said before making his way down the hall.

After the third period bell I made my way down to the lunchroom. I wasn't really hungry so I ain't get anything I just went to the table and sat down.
