I would like to tell a tale with of great intrigue, a tale about a girl no one could match. A girl who was loved by all yet hated at the same time. The people who have done so have known, yet they do not know of the truth of what is real and what is not. That is why the girl is how she has come to be. That is why she is not like any other. She is not real, yet she is all the same. For this girl in particular was no one.
She was strange. The girl was a cloud of mysteries. As beautiful as she was, she hid behind the multiple disguises conjured by the weight of the world. She had a heart that was blazing gray wrapped in cords of pure melodies. Never once the same, her eyes spoke more words than her body ever could. The catch, however, was even her eyes were quite strange, one moment they were shining bright wine colored eyes and the other moment they were not. She was in great disguise. The various colors she wore on her head were as complex as her, given a name at birth but she was nameless. She had a name, but it was not.
She was the daughter of the woman who made the world writhe in agony; the woman who was looked as the kind and merciful ruler of the universe. The woman who was adored and loved by everyone who has come face to face with her. The woman had just about everyone under her, using those sweet, sweet, deceitful, ruby red lips of hers to carry away those agonizing worries of others. But behind closed doors at the foot of its reigns, was the devil; eyes filled with hatred for the world, eyes that one could not escape if one wanted to. The woman would pull the strings of every being she could grasp within her hold, make them do the unthinkable and turn against those classified as precious and bleed red.
Under those ruby lips, in her duplicitous blood there was nothing, nothing but a freezing hell and darkness. It was one of those tales that were told to children, a tale where they were told to stay away from. One that if a child were to see, you wouldn't be the same as you were before. The childlike innocence and humility that come with the birthing begins to dissipate, never to be seen again as you would know.
Aware of such things the girl went against all humanity for the peace, she went against the woman praised by all. All so that the innocence of the world would remain, though it has already been far long gone. Alas, the girl fought with all her might as long as she could, did everything that she could think of, all in an attempt to stop the woman from committing sins by taking the heart of others souls.
This fight, the girl realized long before, was one that she knew she would be screwed over countless times, she knew she would be burned, be forgotten, be lost, all these feelings that she would experience in a repetitive cycle. She knew of the great pain and burden that would be entailed with what she chose, it was only common sense to face the woman, it was bound for her to have to endure such things as there was a slim chance that she would win. Despite that fact, with determination she faced it head on, that even with slim chance of not being the same when finished, she would be damned if she didn't go without a fight.
So with her choice the girl fought, she fought the countless people the woman sent to eliminate her. She did not want to harm them but she had no option, so with tight grasp, she reigned in her guilt and spilled red. Thus, was the start of the girl's many dark days she faced with people's monsters in her soul, and thus was the start of her hollowness. It was okay though, because to her even if it meant that she was on her own, if it was for peace, everything was fine with her.
And so she fought on, as lonely as the girl felt she caged the lost voices of angry sad souls within her heart. She had gone against all those above, all those whom were under the control to find what she must. Simply because it was hers to do. She was too kind, too caring, it was seen as her downfall by many, she was cursed. For she could not leave one alone as she has felt, to feel the sinking feeling in the pit of one's heart where everything's an all too real nightmare.
It's her job alone because she is specially unique. She could not merge with the earth, only roam the world in a never ending cycle of giving but never given. This was her fate, to be chained down like a puppet until no more. But a certain something had decided to change that, she met her other half, or rather he met her. For once, she was happy, truly, truly happy. For she forgot her worries, her pain— and responsibilities when he was in her presence, she felt normal.
And yet, although for once she was who she always wanted to be, meant to be, she has unspokenly known, that it would not last forever. Simply because of the fact that nothing ever does. But the girl didn't care, she loved and cherished everything that she could, and for once after a long time, she felt the warmth of the sun and the calmness of the world around her. All at once, everything was peaceful, just as she dreamed. And all at once, everything began to fall. All at once, everything began to hurt again.
The girl tried, she really really tried. She fought until she couldn't stand no more, fought with all her might until all sanity broke and she wept and coughed red. She knew, she knows—it's only her, her against the world, her against the woman, because she is The One. That's what she has kept telling herself, that's what she has said to keep herself sane. But even those who could withstand monsters could break, and it was this particular moment where she caved. Because, just because she hasn't said otherwise, doesn't mean that it wasn't excruciatingly painful to be okay.
The girl had wanted so much, for so long for everything to stop. She has wanted the very thing that she craved for, the very thing that she herself fought for. Peace. Now, it has finally, finally, taken hold of the very worlds that she has tried to protect. It has been accomplished to the extent where every being despite the species are able to coexist with one another. That there were very few of any souls lost and any red that has been shed. Truly, everything was like a dream.
This peace that the girl had so wholeheartedly desire, what the girl had tried so hard to fight for. It has been achieved. But at what cost? Her very own life. Her sanity. Her mentality. She is not who she once was. She is not who she was meant to be. The energy and time that she has spent her spirit, her soul, her heart into these people, they turned their backs on her. Repetitively, they have taken advantage of her care, all until she coughed red until her body shook, and it's when this happened, that she allowed herself to let her tears flow and be broken and weep.
But of course, she does not care yet cares all the same. Of course she does. Because it is, that deep inside of her heart, deep down in the depths of her soul, lies an unmatched and immense sense of warmth. Of love. Care. All these aspects of which the people do not deserve, but it was okay, even if everything that came in touch with her soul hurt. It was okay, because nobody else had to go through what she did. It was okay, because nobody had to see the true horrors of the world, of society, of people. Everything was okay, even if it wasn't.
Because it is just this. Under the hands of fate she is controlled to who she has become. Under the hands of the very people she tries to undertake, the very people classified as precious, those who she tries to go and protect, she has lost herself. Lost herself all within. She is no more of who she once was. Because it is just this—because she is painfully kind-hearted, caring, and broken, because she is the daughter of a mad woman, that she is injured, and the people to blame for all she has suffered can't be anyone but yourselves.
