suddenly i got a message from my best friend. i expected it to be something funny or that he was inviting me for dinner last minute, which is a common thing, and has been for years. but when i read it, i wished i was hallucinating.

people found out abt y/ns powers

at this point it could be hydra

at that point i realised he wasn't joking. at this time of the night he always replied immediately. and people found out about y/ns powers? hydra is involved? shit.

i got into a chopper with a few soldiers within a few minutes, and i told maria to meet me there with backup. even if it was a hoax, i was not going to bet their safety on a what-if. they were my closest friends, they were like family. y/ns father and i grew up together, i was not going to let anything happen to them.

within a few minutes we got to the house, and i thought i was seeing things. the pavement was completely messed up, did y/n and her father use their earth powers? there were also two weird figures amongst the rubble, they looked broken in places that aren't supposed to be broken up. there was also fire everywhere, both inside and outside the house. but most of the fire was coming from inside the house, so was y/n and her mother using their fire powers? no, it cant be, y/n isn't allowed to, her fire is too powerful, way more powerful than her mother's.

"call the fire brigade", i ordered the soldiers. one of the soldiers did, and the others got their guns ready.

i tried to enter the house but was blinded by an insanely bright light. it was like a lighthouse was pointing directly into my eyes so i had to squint my eyes just so i could see where i was going. but then i saw the source of the light

y/n was at the front of the house in this huge orb like thing of fire. but my heart sank when i saw that she wasnt alone in the orb. she had her arms around her parents, but what made it worse was that they werent breathing. their bodies were still and their eyes were open, no expressions on their faces either. it was like a nightmare. 

y/n didnt have an expression either. her eyes were wide open but they were covered by fire, it was like her eyes didnt exist and they were just fire. she looked like she was protecting them after they had died. i didnt even want to think about what happened and the horrors they might have endured. 

i cleared my mind and just thought about getting y/n back. i obviously couldnt just get close to her and pull her out of the fire orb thing, so i did the only thing i could think of. "y/n, its uncle nick, im here, please stop your fire and come to me", i said as loud as i could. her head bolted up and now i could see her face better. "uncle?", she asked. "uncle, please help me, mom, and dad and hydra", she said as he flames got stronger. "y/n, its okay, just come to me, remember what your mother taught you about the fire, please honey come back to me, its okay", i shouted. suddenly her flames began to lessen and disappear, the only fire was a thin layer of fire over her entire body but the flames in her eyes stayed the same. she dropped the bodies of her parents bodies but remained in the same spot. then the fire around her body disappeared, now it was only her eyes, but a few moments later they disappeared too.

she immedietly looked at her hands, and then to her parents and her expression turned from shocked to just pure sadness. "y/n, its me", i said once my put my gun on the floor. her head jerked and she immedietly looked at me. she ran to me and hugged me. "im sorry uncle, i will never use my powers again", she said before she passed out.

i quickly changed my expression when some agents walked in. get a medic, "i ordered them". maria and coulson walked over to me. "is this the girl? is she ok?", maria asked as she knelt down beside me. "did she do this", coulson asked as he pointed to the burn marks all over the house and the messed up pavement. "no, shes 12", i said. but i knew it was her. she couldnt have killed her parents though, it was probably those squashed up people on the pavement, i saw the hydra symbol on their shoulders, so could they have found out? if so, then how?

but i would have to find out later, i had to make sure y/n and her parents were ok. i tried to hide my emotions when the medic confirmed that her parents were in fact dead. i guess i lost both my bestfriends, and their daughter lost both of her parents.

no one should have to go through that.
