Syd Matters - Obstacles

Let's say sunshine for everyone

But as far as I can remember

We've been migratory animals

Living under changing weather

Someday we will foresee obstacles

Through the blizzard, through the blizzard

The sun beat down mercilessly on the golden sands of Rosecove Beach, with two kids gleefully playing, one with purple-hair wearing a brown bell-shaped hat and reddish-pink eyes and the other with (hair/colour) hair and (eye/colour) eyes.

Pokémon and their trainers littered the beach, whilst the two built sandcastles before getting up and chasing each other through the water in a game of chase as the small waves crashed onto the sand, occasionally encountering the odd Pokémon or two by almost treading on it.

''Tess, get back here!'' The (H/c)-haired kid yelled, as Tess glanced back at the other kid and grinned.

''If you can't catch me, then hurry up slowpoke!'' The girl replied, passing a Slowpoke which looked at her blankly as she ran past.

''Hey! Slowpokes have feelings too!'' (Y/n) narrowed their eyes, speeding up their pace rapidly to reach Tess, who was too focused on what lay ahead of her instead of her friend who was nearing her.

''Ah!'' Tess then exclaimed in surprise as she felt someone crash into her, nearly toppling her over, the purple-haired girl stopped running and turned to face her friend. ''I'm it!''

''No thanks.'' (Y/n) replied, panting as they wiped the sweat off their brow with a single brush of their hand, wiping it on their sleeve casually. ''I'm up for some food though.'' At the thought of food, a small smile made its way onto their face.

The purple-haired girl smiled as well. ''If you didn't resemble a human, someone would probably mistake you for being a missing evolution of Munchlax.'' Tess teased playfully, making (Y/n) cross their arms and roll their eyes.

''Whatever, let's get to the food already!'' The (h/c)-haired kid unfolded their arms and grabbed Tess' wrist and ran with her to their home, which was a small cerulean blue wooden house situated on the upper parts of Rosecove, where it overlooked the sea.

The two took a lookout at the water, noticing it was late afternoon, the sun casting its light on the sparkling water, as well as the fluffy pale clouds that lazily floated overhead, like flying Wooloo or Mareep. The salty tang of the sea breeze could be smelled, along with the lingering scent of petrichor from the recent rain.

Tess looked over at her home, the lighthouse, which was distanced from the rest of the city, connected to it by a stretch of grassy land on a small craggy hill, with the lighthouse at the top. She then looked over at (Y/n), who then went inside, and followed.

''Eyyy!'' A blond-haired man with beard stubble greeted with finger guns pointed at (Y/n), who shook their head before doing the same.

''What's my husband doing?'' A voice asked, and Tess looked over at its source, to see another man, but with black hair, minus the beard stubble, and almost invisible eyebrows, the only evidence of their existence being the long thin lines of eyebrow hairs.

''Ghost Brows.'' The blond-haired man said, walking over to him as his husband pouted sourly at the nickname, giving him a quick peck on the cheek.
