The fact I took like no time getting this sequel out is... astounding honestly. Considering I'm probably the most inconsistent writer on this platform...
Yeosang threw the doors to his father's throne room open. There was thankfully no one but Taemin in the room, who looked very unimpressed to be interrupted like this as he lounged about on his obsidian throne. The cathedral styled room seemed to intimidate Seonghwa, who quietly gripped Yeosang's sleeve nervously. The only light that filled the room was the moonlight cascading through the red stain-glass windows, casting everything into a crimson glow.
"Yeosang, what is the meaning of this? I have dealt with enough today, with the Choi boy's wedding, what makes you think I have time for these interruptions?" Taemin stood elegantly, long sleeves flowing outwards in waves as he did so. Even with the lighting Yeosang could see the flare of red that brightened his father's eyes.
Seonghwa hid even further behind Yeosang. "I have something to admit to you, sir. And no, this cannot wait." Yeosang held an arm before Seonghwa, protecting him. With a dissatisfied sigh Taemin sat back down. "This man has been turned by me. I take full responsibility for him."
Taemin slammed his fist against the armrest, crushing the glassy rock violently.
"What was the rule, Yeosang?! When I agreed to harbour my bastard son in the vampire court what was my one rule?!" Taemin seethed, descending the steps. The ground beneath his bare feet cracked and caved. "Speak!"
"I was not to turn any humans, no matter the reason." Yeosang kept his voice calm, though he allowed his claws to extend slowly from his nail beds. "I didn't understand my promise then. Nor did I understand what I was giving away. But I couldn't leave him, no matter what the rules were. Seonghwa is too important." Taemin now stood before them, glowering at Yeosang. His usually carefree, sculpture-like features were cracked with lines of rage.
"I do not care what circumstances surround you and this boy, you have broken the rules." Taemin grabbed Seonghwa in a flash, darting back whilst holding onto the boy's arm. Seonghwa's eyes widened in fear, and he let out a strangled sound of distress. "I need to set an example here Yeosang, I hope you understand."
Yeosang lashed out on instinct.
Seonghwa darted back behind Yeosang as Taemin gripped his bleeding arm. Three deep cuts spanned along his forearm.
"Are you alright Seonghwa?" Yeosang looked over Seonghwa's arm for damage, frowning at the sickening purple-green bruise that formed.
"Yeosang it's just a bruise. We both know I've had worse cutie pie, so calm down." Seonghwa thought to Yeosang, giggling as he pinched Yeosang's cheek.
"What did he just call you?" Taemin glared at both of them still, and Yeosang didn't see this turning out too well.
"He called me 'cutie pie' because I like it." Yeosang challenged, shock flaring over Taemin's features.
"You like it?" Seonghwa also sounded shocked.
"Yes, but this isn't the time." Yeosang pretended he didn't have a deep blush flared over his cheeks, glad for the red lighting. "Father I don't care if you understand or not. I... I love this man, which I thought would be impossible. I believed many things to be impossible before I met him..." Yeosang reached behind him for Seonghwa's hand, glad to feel the other entwine their fingers immediately. "I would die for him."
"I just... one rule Yeosang! Why is one fucking rule so hard for you to understand?" Taemin sounded disappointed now.
And Yeosang snapped.
