I feel like I'm falling ever so slowly into a dark rabbit hole of guilt, distress, anger and sadness, as I let my life pass on to another stage. How could I betray my best friend like that? I know it wasn't my fault, but all the emotions I am experiencing lead me to believe that it was. I don't know if I should just forget about my old life, or mourn over it forever.

A sudden glimpse of light appears into my sight and I continue to lay without a muscle moving. I knew something was going to happen after this, so I just waited. The area around me seemed like a very bright floating island customised to the brim with clouds galore and painted sunset skies . After a minute or so, a small, somewhat stressed angel appeared, as I rose. "1 car crash...2 deadly dieseases...5 natural causes....." the angel muttered, while writing notes down on a clean, white piece of paper attached to a gold back board. He suddenly looked down at me and squeaked. "Ah! There's another one! I swear these humans are dying more and more every day!"

I was somewhat confused. The angel must have been one of the death recorders. "While were here... how did you die and what's you're name? My name is Chris and I just count the lost souls around here, don't be too startled!" He asked while seeming kind of shaky. I could only imagine how hard the man works up here.

How will you choose to reply? A, b or c. (Your answer won't affect your storyline for this selection)

A: Kindness

I decided to be polite to him, since he must go through a lot of souls here and I didn't want to give him a hard time. "I'm y/n sir, I just passed away from tuberculosis and I am so dearly sorry if I troubled you!"

Chris nods and writes it down on his pristine paper. "Thank you or cooperating with manners, I don't see enough respectful people around the afterlife gates nowadays...."

B: Refusal

Why should this guy know my name and the way I died again? Who cares if it's his job, I'm sure people refuse this Chris guy all the time! "I'm not going to tell ya." I respond in a rude tone

"Please... it's my job and I've really had a stressful day! You can't go anywhere if you don't have your name recorded!" He stated in a pleading way. I almost felt remorseful upon seeing his petite upset face, so I replied anyway.

"Y/n.... Tuberculosis got the better of me you old hag."

C: Blunt

"Y/n, tuberculosis." I responded with bluntly.

Chris almost looks speechless for a second "I guess you don't have much to say... huh?" he inquired as I nodded my head slowly. I don't really need to say much anyway, I'm better off saving my useless chatting to my friends if I make any.

Authors note: Hello it's Arissa checking in! I just finished my assignments and i felt creative at 10:00pm lmao. I know these first options may be a bit useless at first, but it's just a small thing to the story and Im seeing what it's going to be like on these first few chapters. I know that might not make sense, but I tried explaining it well qwq. Anyway I hope you enjoyed the first 2 chapters! Expect more soon and remember that this is only the beginning to the story!
