Having him was a blessing and a curse at the same time.
First, written in a present tense was really a miracle, but the one having the past overtone was the hardest pill to swallow she has ever had.
Eventually she didn't have this one person to walk down the coast with, to listen to her reading favourite verses from the greek mythology or to drive around the town when the sun set down. He was not here anymore. The only vision of him that still existed was the one in her head. It's almost like he had never been here from the first place.
Honestly, maybe it's ruthless, but if they never met the pain wouldn't have existence. Maybe it could be easier for her. But isn't it easy enough now? They only knew each other for a month. Before that, they never met. How come that without him, she feels so unbelievably lost and full of sorrow? They were complete strangers, she didn't even know his second name, yet they both found the way to connect in the highest of levels.
Even though she was prepared to lose him, which was the part of the plan, she could never be prepared for having him being lost.
And that was the only thing being actually terrifying.
