Thunder Hero: Flaming Thunder God

Chapter Nine

Izuku walked into the classroom, looking around. Iida isn't here, He thought. The day before, he had seen on the news that his older brother had been attacked. It really must have affected him, Izuku thought.

The boy sat down at his seat, and began to take notes about his classmates. "Kaminari's quirk lets him discharge electricity, but he can't control it. That means he needs something to help direct it... Or he needs to be a bit closer so he can use his quirk as a taser, Todoroki's quirk lets him control fire from his left and ice from his right, the explosion in our fight... If he can control those explosions or make them smaller he could be so much stronger," Izuku muttered.

He heard the door open and looked up. "Hi Iida!" Izuku said. "Hello Midoriya," Iida replied, sitting down. Izuku couldn't help but notice that he was a bit stiff and his eyes were red. Soon after, everyone else arrived, and homeroom began. "All right, now we should look at your internship options," Aizawa said, before clicking a button. Izuku quickly scanned through the list, seeing that at the top, he had 5327 offers, and Todoroki being next with 3982 offers, Bakugou being third with 3425 offers.

Izuku: 5119

Todoroki: 4092

Bakugou: 3251

Izuku was given a list of all the intern options, which he began to scroll through. "Kamui Woods, Mount Lady, Manuel, Backdraft," Izuku muttered as he read. Suddenly he stopped. "E-Edgeshot?" He shouted as he looked at the name. Izuku stood up. "Aizawa sensei, I have Edgeshot as an offer, are you sure that it wasn't mixed up and is supposed to go to Todoroki or Kacchan?" He inquired. "He requested you specifically," Aizawa said, laying down.

"That's so cool!" Izuku said, grinning. "I got an offer from Best Jeanist so I won," Bakugou called over. "I guess," Izuku responded. It was still so unreal, having Bakugou talk to him like a civil person. "I heard he was good with swords! I wonder if he'll spar with me!" Izuku muttered.

"Shut the fuck up Izuku!" Bakugou shouted. "Sorry!" Izuku responded.

After a bit, Midnight walked into the room, stepping to the center, and clapped her hands together. "Hello! Today you will be deciding..." She said, "Hero names!" She shouted. "Now remember, this name may stick with you for life, so choose wisely," She said. "I can't decide hero names, so I'm having Nemuri do it for me," Aizawa said, zipping up his sleeping bag.

She passed around a bunch of whiteboards, and everyone began to brainstorm. After around five minutes, Aoyama stood up. "I have come up with moi," He said, standing in front of the class, "I can not stop twinkling!"

Really? Izuku thought. "If you shorten the can not to can't and remove the I, you can have can't stop twinkling," Midnight said. Izuku thought for a moment, before scribbling something on his. "I think I'm ready!" He said. "Come on up," Midnight said, as Izuku walked to the podium. "My hero name is The Thunder Hero Deku!" Izuku said. "Really? You might be stuck with it for the rest of your life," Midnight said. "I'm sure!" Izuku called. Across the room, Uraraka beamed.

After school Izuku went up to Eraserhead. "Can I intern with Edgeshot?" Izuku asked, turning in his form. "Sure," Eraserhead said, writing down a name before dozing off.

"Okay," Izuku muttered before heading home. Once the internships started, Izuku hopped on a train to the Edgeshot agency.

"Hello?" Izuku asked as he opened his door. "Hello," A voice above him called. Izuku looked up to see Edgeshot hanging from a pole as he let go before doing a flip. "I am Edgeshot, The number five hero in Japan," Edgeshot said, bowing. "I am Izuku Midoriya, Yuuei Hero Course, a First year, winner of the First Year Sports Festival!" Izuku said, grinning. "Nice to meet you!"
