Toms Pov

I sighed as I stared longingly at the painting in front of me. It had me and my parents there from when I was eight, but there was another demon standing by me. The girl had her arm around my shoulder and had the most devilish grin that not even the evilest demon could perfect. Her skin was a dark grey and she had two piercing yellow eyes with thin diamond pupils, her hair was bright ruby red hair with two long pigtails that goes to her waist, she wore a red and black dress that had a short skirt and underneath was black stockings. She was my twin sister, Zelia. I sighed again. It's been eight years since she left to take over the 7 dimensions after my Great-great-grandmother passed away. She's been so busy that she was never able to send a letter. She did last year but they stopped coming and I got sad again. Zelia was my one and only friend. Whenever her friends asked if she wanted to hang out she always declines because on those days I would feel lonely and she knew that. We'd torture random demons, use our fire to fly around the castle, slide down the rails on the stairs, and a lot of other mischiefs. As I continued to remember the good times I felt a hand lightly touch my shoulder. I looked up to see my mother. "Oh, hello, Mother. Sorry, I was just-" I apologized but she cut me off. "I know. Your father and I miss her as much as you do." She pulled me into a small hug. I didn't return it because no one could comfort hug me the way Zelia, and possibly my soulmate, could. my mother seemed to understand and let me go.

"I have something that might make you feel a bit better." she reached into her little handbag and pulled out what seemed to be an invitation. "Mom, if you're going to arrange another Blood Moon Ball so I can try again with Star it won't work. she already hates me enough," I told her. "Just read it," she said trying to hold in a smile. I roll all three eyes and took the invitation. I began to read aloud. "You are hereby invited to the Rose Eclipse Gala, hosted by the most fearsome demon...Zelia Lucitor..." I said the last bit in disbelief. I looked up at my mom who could no longer contain her smile. I looked back at the invitation then laughed with joy as I hugged my mom. "I can't believe it!" I let her go. we're invited to her gala?!" "As special guests." Mother says. "But..." I look at her and notice she's frowning again. "What's wrong?" I ask. "You see Tom, your father and I need to stay behind because the gala lasts through the night 'til the break of dawn and we can't stay away longer than two hours so we won't be able to see your sister but you will be able to during the day." I looked at her my three eyes wide. "But-But I thought I could only go during the dance?" "You will, but she also sent a letter with the invitations inside saying that she was free for the rest of the day but with being very busy tomorrow as the gala is tomorrow night." I began to smile more. I was going to see my sister after waiting for so long! "But I would suggest giving Star and her friend Marco the invitations so they can go and bring their friends." my frown disappeared. I was going to invite Star to another dance. now she'll hate me more. "Why do I have to?" I asked my mom. "So you won't be lonely and have people other than your sister to hang around with. she would've wanted you to invite your friends so she doesn't have to worry about you having no friends." Mother did have a point. Zelia did always worry about me not having friends.

My mom goes into her handbag again and hands me two more invitations. "These were going to be me and your fathers but since we're not going we thought you could give them to Star and her human friend." I took them and nodded. "I'll give it to them now so they can prepare." then flames consumed me and teleported me to Star's room.

Tom's Mothers Pov

I entered my husband's office and did a sigh of relief when I shut the door. "Did he take them?" I nodded. "He's gone to take the invitations to Star and that boy Marco." I sat down on the couch in the corner of the room. "Do you think that the Moon was correct?" I asked. he put his paper down and looked at me. "The Moon doesn't lie dear. remember when that same thing happened to us?" I nodded. he was right. a similar event happened to us at the Blood Moon Ball. I just hope that the Moon and we are correct in this assumption. if we aren't...no! You mustn't think that way! The Moon is always right! No matter what, the Moon is right.

Marco's Pov

Star was lying face down into her pillow mumbling complaints about the monsters and how boring school is and wanting a break from it all. I chuckled as she did a long groan. "I want the monsters to stop coming out of nowhere and the school vacay to start!!!!!" She groaned again. then I began laughing out loud. But my laughter was short-lived when bright flames began in the middle of the room. I stood up and got into a ready position and Star got up holding her wand in front of her. as the fire cleared we relaxed a little as we realized it was just Tom. Great. I thought. "Hey, Starship! Hi, Marco." he waved at us. Star groaned again. "For the last time, Tom, I lost interest years ago!" Tom laughed. "That's not why I'm here. I'm already very aware you hate me so it's fine!" He's not here to get Star back? I thought confused. I then noticed something waving in his right hand as his shoulders went up and down as he laughed. "What's that?" I asked, pointing to his hand. "Oh!" He said raising his hand. "I nearly forgot! this is why I'm here!" Tom handed me and Star two rectangular papers as he kept the third. "My sister's holding a gala tomorrow night and my parents can't go and my sister get really worried for me when I don't have any friends and to save her from pestering me my mom and dad thought I should bring you two," he explained. I eyed him suspiciously. "Um, but you can also bring other people as well! my sister doesn't mind more guests at the gala," Tom added noticing my gaze. Since when did he get nervous?

Star on the other hand was beaming. Her grin seemed to go all the way past her ears. Oh no, Star please don't... I silently begged. Star squealed a little then said, "We'll be there!" Tom smiled. "Great! I can pick you up tomorrow evening?" "Sure!" No... I thought silently to myself. "Ok, I'll see you then!" then he teleported away.

Star's Pov

I was so excited! I read about the only kingdom that has a gala and that's the 7 dimensions! I've always wanted to go because of all the cool things they have there! I was about to go and raid my wardrobe of each outfit I had when Marco started screaming at me. "Star are you crazy?!" I stared at him. "What do you mean?" I asked. He slapped his forehead. "I mean, why did you agree?! That was Tom inviting you to a gala! Don't you find that the least bit suspicious?" now it was my turn to slap my forehead. "Marco, there's never a gala in the Underworld they only have the Blood Moon Ball which doesn't happen every year, unlike the Rose Eclipse Gala that is held in the 7 dimensions." Marco stilled looked unsure. "Besides~ why would Tom invite you if he was after me?" Marco looked at his invitation then back at me. "I...I guess you're right. But we should still be cautious." I rolled my eyes then run straight to my closet to look for the perfect outfit for this dance!
