Protector

The Beginning

A few weeks ago, I was just a high school boy who knew nothing about protecting myself, let alone protecting the world against the deadliest foes and creatures. I didn't see this coming, but apperently many other people did. I'm warning you, I'm gonna sound crazy, but I promise, this is all 100% true. I used to watch all of these cool, awesome fantasy shows on TV, and who knew I would be living one right now. Let me start from the beginning...

"YES, GO SKYE!" I screamed as I was watching an episode of my favorite TV show "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." I had a sudden urge to be in a fight just like Skye, punching and kicking, and all of those cool flips. But I knew I would never be able to pull it off. I would chicken out and run. Sadly, I was home alone because my mom was on a buisness trip, and my dad died when I was really young. He got into a bad car accident, so my mom has to work full time in order to make enough money for us to get by. BANG! The sound came from downstairs, so I figured it was my dog pouncing on our back to door to go out. So I walked down the stairs to let her out. All of the sudden o heard a door slam. Something was wrong.

I quietly walked down the last step, turned my head and before I knew it a random guy in my house threw a Knife at my head. I didn't know what to do so I went with my first instinct, I caught it. A perfect catch. I couldn't believe it. The guy looked almost as stunned as I was. He hissed, almost like an animal, and then he ran up to me and swung his fist right at my head, I ducked and kicked him in gut. He fell over and I grabbed his knife, and threw it at him, but he was just as good as me, he caught it. He swung at me from both sides blocked the strikes with my arms, grabbed his hand and twisted it back. I just broke his harm. He screeched at the top of his lungs. Who was he? Before he could recover, I grabbed his knife and slashed him in the face, and ran. This was the beginning, just the beginning of something that would change my life forever. I was no longer Jake the Student Council President of Cannon High, I was Jake, the Protecter.
