Christina didn't bother to answer the door when the actual pizza arrived, nor did she touch the pizza itself. After the bizarre visit she retreated to her bedroom and wrapped herself in her fluffy blankets. Tossing and turning all night she kept checking her phone, hoping Shayne would email or text her, anything, but nothing at all. Christina's back got sore as she turned around once more, almost slipping away into the darkness for comfort, a car pulled up in front of her house. She figured it was just someone making a U-turn until she heard the car door open then close. Her heart started to pound painfully and her breathing got louder. Christina's eyes flew open when she heard the footsteps on the porch and the click of a flashlight.

Grabbing her blankets tighter she forced her eyes closed when the footsteps neared. With each footstep crunching dried fall leaves right outside her basement windows, her heart pounds faster. Christina sees the flashes of white searing into her room, reaching every corner and violating her privacy. Someone poisoned her safe space with their sinister intentions. The space devoted to providing her safety and acceptance is now stained and seeped with fear. The figure stopped and Christina heard a low grunt followed by dried leaves crunching. The flashlight slowly studied the room until it fell directly on Christina, the bright light stopping her heart and breathing simultaneously. She laid lifeless, praying for the retreat of the threat.

She hears a cell phone camera clicking accompanied by a bright flash. The person grunts and dusts off their knees as they stand up. Christina hears the engine start up again, her eyes jump open and she replenishes her deprived lungs, her stomach turns. The engine sounds the same as the Mercedes that tried to kidnap her earlier today.

She grabs her phone, throwing off her fluffy blankets and calls Shayne's home number. It's 3 in the morning, Christina grips her phone tightly as the line continues ringing. Tears start to form in her eyes as she dials again. After the fourth ring a very drowsy woman answers, "Hello," she yawns "Dillion residence", Christina exhales. "Hi miss Dillion, please get Shayne for me, it's really important", Christina's voice breaks. "Goodness honey it's 3 am, why not just call him", Christina rubs her nose "Uhm didn't he tell you he lost his phone". A moment of silence before miss Dillion answered, "I'm pretty sure he just ha-" her sentence stopped mid air, "actually he did say something like that, I'll go wake him up". Christina hears miss Dillion put the phone down, her heartbeat calming in the slightest when she hears his groggy voice greet her. "What the hell Chris?", a bit hurt from the statement she breathes in, her voice neutral, "There was someone here, taking pictures". The phone beeped 3 times and the call ended. Christina sat down on the floor with her back against the bed, hugging her knees.

Not even 10 minutes went by and Chris could hear Shayne's car turning the corner into her street. She knows the sound of it by heart now, and quickly ran to the front door. Before Shayne even closes his car door properly Christina runs toward him and hug him for dear life before she started crying. "I don't know what to do Shayne, I'm so scared."
