An hour later, Alice pulled up at the Rapunzel Barber shop. Nearby residents had heard something much like gunshots and were hoping the Police would provide clarity on the situation.
Alice had not had her morning coffee. All this action did not sit well with her. As she walked into the shop, however, the sight before her shocked her to the point that she knew she was wide awake. The body of Pinocchio, a very influential politician, and the future Mayor of Wonderland lay there with two bullet wounds. It seemed like a cold and calculated shooting, and the area had been wiped clean. No evidence could be found, except a ring, shaped like a rabbit, held in the hand of the dead.
Having found no leads from the shop, Alice decided to go to Pinocchio’s house. That’s when she remembered. Rapunzel had died in a shootout on a ship recently. She would have to contact her husband, Flynn, the lone survivor of the shootings.
Alice had her own suspicions regarding the happenings in the town. Two deaths, Pinocchio and Belle, both related to something rabbit shaped. Was there a serial killer on the loose?
She was hoping it was a coincidence, but her guts told her to be wary, to tread lightly. She returned to the station, hoping to find some clarity of thought.
However, things had just begun to get messy. Goldilocks, their undercover agent, was back from her mission, investigating information on the Three Bears Mafia. She believed that they had someone who was controlling their every move, and took out a picture which confused Alice even more. It was a block with a rabbit insignia. Were rabbits a rage lately, or was there someone who was involved so deeply in the Wonderland Crime Circuit, a manipulator who was undetected?
A call came in soon. Mr. Beast had committed suicide, leaving behind a letter which stated that he could not live without his wife. He would be leaving all his wealth to his secretary Heidi, who he claimed was capable of handling all the companies in his name.
Alice sent her subordinates to the scene. This time, they did not find any rabbits, and the body was sent in for a post mortem.
In fact, Heidi was a good friend of Alice. They were school friends who met up very frequently. Heidi was an exceptional lady with abilities beyond those of her peers, so it wasn’t a surprise to Alice that Heidi would be given the companies. It had been a while since they last spoke, so Alice decided to invite the lady for a drive. Maybe she would have some knowledge of what had happened, some clues, anything they could hold on to.
