Roger hung his head, "I have loved you since I laid eyes on you. And you treat me like I'm a bug under your shoe... I love you."

Brian pauses as he looks away. Roger tears up watching Brian stand up. Roger doesn't know when he got so brave but he chased after him. They stand under the moonlight. The faint screams of the damned is a chorus of music to their ears.

"You and I.... We're like fireworks and symphonies exploding in the sky. With you, I'm alive. Like all the missing pieces of my heart, they finally collide."

Brian flinches when Roger takes his hand. He hopes his long claws don't hurt him but Roger didn't utter a word of pain.

"Without you I feel broke."

Brian looks down at him. And Roger cups his cheek, "Look at us under the hell-light."

Brian rolls his red-ish honey colored eyes, "You and your puns."

Brian leans down and kisses him, "I don't romance well but I'll try for you."

Roger kisses him back smiling, "I love you."

Brian just touches his cheek, "I'm too scared to say that."

Roger kisses his hand, "I understand."

They walked back to the bedroom quietly. It was so silent at night, damned could be heard. John was still asleep but he was taking up all the bed space. They lay down for the night and begin to sleep. Brian wakes up to Roger laying on top of him drooling away.

Brian nudges him off and dresses. He doesn't know where John is now. Brian enters his office and sees Freddie sitting cross legged on his desk. It reminded Brian of when they dated. Freddie would sit on his desk waiting on Brian sometime his legs would be spread apart and his dress would be scrunched up. Now they are done and over with, work gotten the best of them. Freddie tries to help Brian move on by forcing men into his office it seems that Roger may have finally won his heart over. It was hard to tell.

"What are you doing here?" Brian asks bobbing his head trying to see if Freddie's got another dagger hidden under his gown.

Freddie stands, "Heaven and Hell are cracking and splitting. Your demons are swarming my land scaring my souls."

"And?" Brian yawns.

"A war is going to break out soon and it won't be pretty. Do you know what happened last time that happened?" Freddie grouched.

"The Black Death?" Brian says waking up some.

"Yes and the humans are too... too spoiled now to handle another one!" Freddie tosses his hands up, "Life and Death can't handle being overworked they are going to tear my head off."

"Oh hush nothing is going to happen."

There was the sound of bells and a doe eyed man with a soft baby face appeared shedding some feathers. He's in a nice white button up and black dress pants, "I heard my name?"

"Life!" Brian waves him over, "Or should I call you Paul?"

"Paul works just fine." Paul giggles, "Is Brian going to cause another mess?"

"Shut up." Brian snaps.

A man with a nice black suit shoes up. He had thick eyebrows and sharp cheekbones, "Hey Death." Brian greets.

"It's George, bitch." George lights a cigarette, "If I have to overwork myself because you can't control your shit I'll turn you into dust to be forgotten."

Brian holds his hands up in a mock defense, "Easy buddy."

Roger walks in looking absolutely adorable. His wheat blond hair sticking up and his ocean blue eyes still filled with sleep. He's wearing one of Brian's shirts tied in the back so it isn't so baggy and some old jeans.

"I'm taking Roger for the day until you can learn to fix your shit." George growls grabbing Roger's arm.

"What!" Brian screeched.

"Yep, you're grounded from Roger." Freddie says hopping off the desk.

Brian grabs Freddie,,"You can't fucking do that!!"

"I am God for a reason sweetheart." Freddie laughs looking at his nails. Brian screams at him. Have you be bitch slapped by God before? It's not fun.

George takes Roger with him and Roger looks so scared. They are standing in the road invisible to the living humans. There still seems to be the faint dust a car kicked up but the car is long gone now. Laying in the road is a mangled kitten just freshly off their mother's teat. It's breathing harshly trying to move but paralyzed. It looks at them with fearful green eyes, blood stained it's cloud white fur.

Roger scoops up the little thing holding its intestines with his other hand. He kisses the kitten's head. Roger shows it love and affection for the first time in its life. George shakes his head, "You got to toughen up man."

George held the kitten's soul in his hands. It cuddled up to George, Roger held the cat's mangled body in his hands still, "Everyone deserves love and comfort in their final moments, George."

Roger sets the body down and digs a hole it wasn't deep or pretty looking but it was enough to get it a semi dignified funeral. George calls him weak. Roger kicks him and tends to the kitten's soul, "I'll call you Egg." Egg nuzzles his cheek, they are cold and it numbs Roger's cheek. Roger holds them as they go to the next place.

Roger whimpers, "Why is it so dark?"

"Shh." George whispers his face soften.

A little ball of static buzzes to them and George gingerly cups it in his hands, "Hey little one. I'm sorry your mother wasn't ready for you." he gingerly pets the ball.

The little ball of static seems to hum hurting Roger's ears. Egg hid under Roger's shirt. George holds the ball against his chest, "Well as my friend Roger said everyone could use a little love." George kisses the top of the static ball.

Suddenly they are standing in a bright sunny grassy area with a little bench and fountain. Roger rubs his eyes looking around holding Egg close to him. George holds out his hands and the little ball of static turns into a beautiful dove and flies away into the afternoon light.

"I-I want to go home." Roger whimpers.

"Okay come on then. I'll take you to Brian then."

"Thank you." Roger holds Egg and they are in Brian's office and Roger sighs a sound of relief. Now where's Brian?
