Back at the Bunker:
Dean opened his eyes to find himself staring at the ceiling. It's finally here, he thought. Tonight, there'll be a full lunar eclipse, and Kira's only shot at coming home. I only hope that Gabriel got her away from Lucifer in time. I need to see her, need to have her back in my arms, he silently begged.
Unable to fall back to sleep, Dean threw on his robe and padded to the kitchen. According to the time on the clock, Sam was still out for his morning run. Dean decided to get a head start on breakfast, with the first step being to make coffee. Once it was percolating, he took out the griddle for pancakes and the skillet for eggs.
As he prepared the pancake batter, his thoughts drifted back to Kira and all the times they made breakfast together. How they moved around the kitchen without ever getting in each other's way. Or, after she cracked an egg, she would often nudge him with her hip and give him that sideways grin. Almost made him drop the bacon he was adding to the platter, so then he would have to give her that teasing sideways glare. The way she always added that extra shot of vanilla to the pancake batter to enrich the flavor.
These and so many more memories of ordinary occurrences between them served to reinforce what he knew now and had probably always known. He was in love with Kira, and he wanted her by his side for as long as she would have him. She was his and he was hers--the way it is and would forever be.
Maybe even someday they could get married, which surprisingly didn't scare Dean as much as it might have in the past. One step at a time though, he thought. First we have to send Lady Kira home from here and then bring back my Kira. Then we can talk about the future, he decided.

Kira's Room, The Bunker
Lady Kira awoke to the smell of sizzling bacon and eggs coming from the kitchen. She knew by now that Sam was likely on his morning run, and that it was Dean cooking breakfast. By this time tomorrow, I should be home, as long as everything works like it should, she thought. Lady Kira gathered her towel and decided to make the most of this last opportunity for a shower.
Afterwards, with her hair pulled up in a towel on top of her head and wearing the robe Dean bought for her, she returned to Kira's room. She took a seat at Kira's desk, then pulled out a legal pad and chose a pen.
Dearest Kira,
If you're reading this, then our mission was a success, and we have each returned to our rightful time and dimension. I shall miss the friendships I made here, but I hope to find the same, ready and waiting for me in my time.
Sam has been like a brother to me while I've been here, supportive and kind. A smart one, too. He never gave up on how to find you, to bring back his best friend and the woman who holds his big brother's heart.
Dean. Anyone can see how much he loves you. I could tell when he looked at me, that he wished it was you. I understand and wished for the same. Dean would travel to the ends of the earth, across time and space for you, and I know you would do the same for him. When you get back, take care of each other, love each other. Anything beyond that doesn't matter.
Your friend in time,
Lady Kira of the Eastern ProvinceShe folded the letter and sealed it in an envelope, then wrote Kira's name on the front and left it on the desk.

Winchester Castle
Kira woke early, despite the events of the past couple of days. She'd been through so much, with her capture and torture by Lucifer and her rescue by Prince Dean. Right now, she had bigger things to think about. Tonight was the lunar eclipse, and her only chance at returning safely to the bunker. She had her locket, Rowena had the ingredients for the spell and the symbol was drawn on the altar. Nothing much else to do but wait, and for Kira, it wouldn't be easy.
