Fushiguro's POV:-
She never once felt cold or unkind. Her touch was always warm and comforting. That night, she took me with her, to the demon slayer corps headquarters. I was scared, scared of rejection. If they abandoned me, my life would come to a swift end, either by the hands of Muzan, or by the hands of the slayers. We walked towards a house, a sudden sharp stench hit my lungs, causing irritation. I gasped. "Uh, it's wisteria flower's smell. It must me causing you pain. Hold on." she said and let go of my hand for a while. She slid her arm inside her kimono and pulled out a black ribbon. She then showed it to me. "Wrapping it around your eyes will neutralize the effects of wisteria poison." she then slowly slid it over my eyes, I caught a glimpse of her sweet smile. "I will hold your hand alright? Trust me." she said and took my hand. "I trust you." The words just came out of my mouth.
We soon reached the head quarters of the demon slayer core. I saw all the hashiras sitting under the light of a dimly lit room. And I saw their master who looked at me with a welcoming smile. (y/n) Made me sit down and tightened my grip on m hand. It was because of nervousness and fear. I held her hand with my other hand, telling her it is okay.
"First Tanjiro and now (y/n)!? We will not accept a demon again!" The hashira with a snake around his neck spoke up. "If (y/n) has brought him, he must be promising." The girl with long, braided pink hair spoke up. "I quite agree." Said the insect hashira. "Well I don't!" The man with white hair roared at he, pointing his sword straight at my neck. "An upper moon four huh!? Quite a nice catch." He said and sunk his sword as I closed my eyes. Surprisingly, the pain never came, I opened my eyes to see (y/n), who held the sword firmly in her hand's grip. Blood dripped out, but it never tempted me. "Fushiguro never ate a single human! And if he does, I will stab myself to death. That is a promise, Sanemi!" She said in confidence. "Wait (Y/n), what are you..." I tried to speak but was cut off. "Shut it demon!" Sanemi said. "Megumi, his name is Megumi Fushiguro, address him properly if you will.!" She hissed. "Oh I don't care, the life he takes will be lost!"
"He won't kill anyone! he was not tempted by my blood either!"
"He is an upper moon, we can't trust him!"
"Fine then. I am leaving the demon slayer core! I will set off on my own with him! You can keep your stubbornness!"
The moment she said this, everyone gasped and Sanemi was speechless.
"Now now my children, sit down." Their master spoke up. the two instantly sat down and bowed in apology. "I saw how Megumi has never ate a human and gained the trust of Muzan. To tell you one thing, he even broke his curse. Am I right, Megumi?" He said. "Y-yes." I replied, totally shocked by that man's kindness. "And, Muzan, till date, does not know about this. I think that should be enough for you to trust him." he said and (y/n) smiled at me.
That was how I got accepted in the group. I met this other girl Nezuko who was a demon like me, she gained her power by sleeping. That day, she took me to her room and told me to sleep there for the night. "I will prepare a separate bed for you, make sure you get some sleep." she said while cleaning her Nichiren sword. I watched her in awe, "Why?" I asked her. "Huh?" "Why are you so sure I can be trusted?" "Because I know you are a nice person." "Really? i am a demon, an upper moon on top of that, I am someone who can turn sides like you flip a coin!" "If you were not promising, I would never have been willing to throw away my job for you." she smiled at me. I was kind of furious by how easily she was trusting me. I immediately grabbed her right arm, threw her blue sword aside and pinned her down on the floor. She wad shocked and scared of my face. A demon's true face. "Megu-" "See that!? You can't even dodge me! You are so much weaker than me! I can kill you any moment! THEN WHY!!? Why are you helping me!?" "Because I promised you." She spoke in a firm voice. I was speechless at what she said and moved closer, "M-megumi... you are too close!" She was blushing. I pulled away that instant and let her go. Her arm was injured because of my tight grip. I bandaged them later.
Several months later-
We started going on missions together and became good friends. She never spoke empty words, she always tried to find a way to turn me back into a human. I loved that part about her. She was calm, confident and beautiful. She was a little childish and would easily get startled. That day, we were off on a mission, to kill a lower moon 4, I could tell she was tired and was barely keeping up with the walk. "(Y/n) you alright?" I asked her. "Yeah, absolutely!" She said smiling, but soon after that, she collapsed on her knees. "see?" I said and picked her up, bridal style. "Let's go!" i said and jumped up high. She giggled as we ran cutting through the wind. While killing that demon, I conquered the sun, just like Nezuko did. My days with her were filled with joy, so much that I started loving her. I wanted to be with her forever.
Some days later, Muzan infiltrated the Ubuyashiki mansion. He killed him and his family. Just when the medicine to turn me and Nezuko back into human was ready, a fierce battle of the hashiras and demons started. Miss Tamayo, Miss Shinobu, Muichiro and many other Hashiras were killed.
"We have to fight!" (y/n) said. "Before that, Promise me you will come back alive!" I said to her. "Yeah, I promise, you too!" She said holding my hand.
'SHE NEVER BROKE A SINGE PROMISE, BUT THAT ONE.'
When all of this was over and Muzan was finally killed, I ran off to find her. I found her, her sword was broken and she was stuck on a wall, hanging on her hand that was pierced with a sharp claw. My mind was a mess, I thought she was dead. I immediately got her down and looked at her face, as delicate as ever. She had lost one of her eyes in the battle and her uniform was red with blood. "(Y/N!!) YOU PROMISED ME!" I sjouted and sobbed, yet her voice was silent. I kept on shouting her name while they treated her wounds.
"Keep it down... ouch... that hurts..."
My eyes opened wide with joy, she was alive! I instantly got close to her as he looked at my face with her eye. "I am glad you are alive" she said smiling at me. "(y/n) I thought I lost you!" I said. "I love you... so please, lets spend the rest of our lives together." I said as tears rolled down both of our eyes. "Yes!" she said as I gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Welcome back!"
The battle of calamity was over, humanity had won though it costed us a lot. I was back into being a human and had a long peaceful life ahead of me with (y/n).
