Chapter 36

- In the open waters, I open my arms to you -

Mina POV

I woke up first this time, she really did look like a baby tiger. "Ruff!" Ray came jogging in, "Good Morning Ray! Want to wake up your mama?" I picked him up, setting him next to Chaeng. He started licking her face which made me giggle, "Ah!" She yelped, wiping the slobber off her face, "Oh hi!" She smiled.

"Good morning baby!" She said and I snuggled closer, "Morning." I smiled, "I was talking to Ray." She picked him up giving him a snug hug, "Ya!" I lightly tapped her shoulder which made her giggle, "I'm just kidding, good morning to you my other baby." She said and then gave me a cozy hug.

"Chaengie, would you like to go out on a date today?" I asked her and she nodded many times, "Where are we going?" She asked and I smiled, "It's a surprise." She clapped her hands, "But what about Ray?" She asked, ah yes, our baby. "We could bring him along or we could ask Dahmo to watch him." I said but Chae shook her head, "No, I want to bring Ray." She said, signaling him to come over. I think this date might involve Ray and Chae rather than Chae and I.

I call my driver to drive us to the dock, when we arrive, I get out of the car to open the door for her, "Thank you m'lady." Chae says stepping out into the ground, "So, where to next?" She asks and I point to the medium sized yacht. "Woah." She gasps and I smile, "What about Ray, will he get sea sick?" I know she's just being caring but I can't help but wonder if she loves Ray more than me, "No, we aren't going to go that fast or that far and the captain is one of the best so the rocking will be to a minimum." I say. "Perfect!" She says, reaching out for my hand, take that Ray.

We board the ship and greet the captain, "Ms. Mina! Long time no see!" He opens his arms for a hug, "Senchō! It's nice to see you." I hug him back, "I'm happy to be your captain today Ms. Mina, and who is this?" He asks and introduce them both, "This is Chaeyoung, my girlfriend and Ray, our puppy." I present and he smiles, "You're father did say that you finally found someone to settle down with." I blushed, "Y-yeah." I looked at Chae and she smiled as well, "It's nice to meet you!" She holds out her hand but instead he hugs her, "Any family of the Myouis is a friend of mine."

We set sail to the open waters, "It's beautiful here Minari!" She said, leaning against the railing, "But...not as beautiful as you." Even now her cheesiness still dyed my cheeks pink, "Chaeng, you're too sweet." I gave her a back hug, "Only for you." We sat down at the table under the sun.

Chaeyoung POV

I love it out here, the perfect place to sit, relax, and draw. Teasing Mina with Ray is just way too funny, I'm trying to suppress my laughter but it will eventually burst.

We have a short lunch surrounded by the sea, "How is it?" My Minari asks and I nod "The food is yummy." I say, smiling, "No, I meant how is the date? I haven't really planned one before and I didn't know if you would like it here or if it was too little or if it was too mu-" I cut her short, "It's perfect Minari, whatever you take me on is perfect." I tell her, I know this is her first time since she wasn't really into romantic gestures but everything that comes from her seems to be flawless in every way.

I stood at the head of the boat, watching the waves pass by, the light dancing on the water, the fish that glide under the blue tide, "Mmm." I felt Mina's arms wrap around my waste as she gave a tired hum. "It's like Titanic." a sweet smile shows upon my face, "But doesn't one of them die?" I ask her and she nods, "Yeah but they were meant for each other, even though they've only been in each other's presence for a short time, it seemed like forever." Her words made sense, that's why I love her. She always knew the right things to say.

"Woooo!" I spread my arms out like that iconic scene, feeling the sun against my skin, the warmth of the one I love best, and with the people whom I wish to spend the rest of my life with. I turn around, "I love you Mina." I said and held her in my arms, I didn't wait for her response because no matter what, she's the only one who has my heart.

After our little boat ride out in the ocean, we said bye to the captain and took a little stroll along the beach.

Mina held my arm as my other one was holding Ray's leash, "Ooh look at the kids, they look so cute." She said, pointing to the children scooping up the sand for their sand castle. "Yeah, they do look very cute." I agreed because they did look cute in their small swimsuits, taking tiny steps up the sand.

"I want kids." Mina suddenly stated, "Huh?" I started to turn into a tomato, "I said that I want kids." She looked at me but I kept walking, "Wha- we have Ray? He's our baby." I suggested, but she pouted, "O-okay but how about we get married first?" I say because even though we have Ray, it still may be a bit too early for us to start a family. "Okay, let's get married then." She's really bold today, I stop our stroll and look at her as her eyes are upon mine. "I'm just kidding, for now." She says, continuing.

It's not that I don't want to marry her, I would love to. I just don't know if she would want to yet, we kind of have been together for a year. We didn't date but it felt like it was that type of relationship. Being away from each other for a year did put a dent in our relationship but we fixed it up pretty quickly and even though we have only been real dating for a few months, it really did feel like unending years of happiness.

So maybe it might be time, maybe I should propose to her. One day, everything will be set nicely and on that day I will ask Myoui Mina to marry me.
