Chapter 39

- You're alluring black hair and white t-shirt always caught my eyes -

Chaeyoung POV

"Home sweet home!" I announce, stepping back into our humble abode. "Yeah." Mina sighs, looking at the home we built together. We spent the rest of our time not packing but settling on the couch to rest a bit.

"Would you like to go on a walk with me Chaengie? I know we just got back and it's pretty late, but it looks like a really nice night for a stroll." She says and I nod, I will always say yes to spending time with you under the stars. "Okay, let me get something from upstairs first though!" I say, quickly running to our room.

"Okay, ready!" I say and she holds her hand out for me to take. I always love the feeling of my hand in hers because it just feels right. I put my other hand in my pocket as we walk along the empty sidewalks. The small black box holding something so tiny yet so meaningful.

*flashback to helping Tzuyu prepare for proposal*

"Thank you both for the help, I really really appreciate it." Tzuyu says, resting by the fountain. "No problem!" Dahyun said, stepping down from the ladder. "Yeah, no problem, you know we always got your back." I say, taking a seat next to her. "I just can't believe I'm doing this, it was only yesterday when I was so sure that Sana and I would forever be enemies. But look at me now." She chuckles, looking down, "The best things always happen in the most unexpected ways." I say, looking at the lights we put up.

"Yeah, but I do have a confession to make." She says and we look her way, "I...I've always liked Sana." Dahyun gasped and I just gave her a nudge. "I knew it!" She giggled. "Why though?" She then asked which earned her an eye roll from Tzuyu.

"Because even though she was very flirtatious and seductive towards everyone around her, she was happy and always managed to put a smile on their faces. I used to think that happiness was a hard thing and complicated thing but as soon as I saw her, everything made sense and after that, I just knew, I just knew that she would be the only one for me." She explained.

To be honest, I was totally surprised, I didn't know much about Tzuyu, she was always stone cold, but every time she's with Sana, she softens a bit. And seeing her smiling and happy with the person she loves is something she definitely deserves.

"What about you Chae, are you going to propose to Mina?" She asked, I had a clear answer but so many complicated thoughts running through my head. "Of course, one day." I say, pulling out a chain from under my shirt. At the end of it, a ring, "Wow. congrats Chaeng!" Dahyun hypperly says, "Yeah, but the thing is...I got this when we were still married, before she left." Another round of gasps circled through, "I was going to propose to her for real when our contract ended, but when she left...I didn't know what to do. I always kept it safe, hoping that one day she would come back, and now that she did, I can't wait to finally see it on her finger." I reveal.

*flashback end*

I smile to myself, knowing that tonight is the night. I didn't prepare anything special, but anywhere and anytime with her is the most special thing ever.

We stop at the bridge, looking over to the cars speeding through the roads. I look at my Minari and she's looking up at the moon. "月が綺麗ですね?" She whispers, but I don't understand, "The moon is beautiful isn't it?" She asks,"Yeah, she is." I admire my moon.

I take the box out from my pocket, getting ready to say those four words.

Mina POV

"Will you marry me Chaengie?" I look to her and she's standing shocked with something in her hands. "Oh, what's that?" I ask, picking up the soft mystery box, giving it a small shake. "Minari." She takes the box back, opening it up to reveal a silver ring. "I-" she started but didn't get to finish.
