"Wait.. so you made him jealous?" Minhee asked with all curiosity. "Pfft.. hell no dude. Why would we ever do that?" Felix shrugs innocently. "Sure." Haechan says with noticeable sarcasm. "What I don't get is why you guys were forcing him. Maybe he doesn't like unnie. Maybe he doesn't thin of her that way." Mark asks, keeping down the chopsticks he was eating his ramen with. "Seriously? Lee Minhyung, SERIOUSLY?!" Haechan says, clicking his tongue in disappointment. "Is he you're brother or cousin Mark?" I ask. "No." "Have you known him you're whole life?" Felix continues. "Of course not. I got to know him a few months ago!" "THEN?!"
"And anyways Mark, it's way too obvious. Have you looked at those two? They are lovebirds who are deeply in love with each other. Basically inseparable." Jungwoo adds, making everyone nod. "Like you and Sooyun." Mark whispers underneath his breath, but clearly everyone heard. I sensed myself blushing but thankfully I hide it. The point is I swear I'll kill this boy if he continues to say stuff like that. "WE HEARD THAT!" Me and Jungwoo yell at the same time, making him shut up. "...and we agreed with it." Minhee murmurs which I clearly hear since I was sitting next to her. "Shut the hell up if you want to live." I whisper back, pointing a fist at her. "OMG I'm scared!" She says sarcastically, making me question my life choices. I decide to leave that topic there and get over with.
"But anyways, did it succeed?" YangYang asks. "As I said, we weren't getting him jealous!" I say, trying to specify my point. "Oh do admit it already. You aren't the best liars you know, and me being a liar, can basically see through you like glass!" Haechan says dramatically. "What do you mean by that may I ask, Mr. Lee Donghyuck?" I ask getting up, folding my arms. "Like that day when you were wearing that new tee you bought? I was lying about how terrible it was looking." "Oh really? Than--" "And that there was a big fat lie. Imma pro here." "Hyuck you're so dead." I say as I run down to where he was sitting. "Catch me if you can shortie." "Quit it!" "YOON, I SWEAR YOU SHOULD LOOK AT YOURSELF RIGHT NOW!" He says falling into fits of laughter. "The Tom and Jerry award goes to... Lee Donghyuck and Bang Scarlet Sooyun! Can we have a round of fake applause!" Mark announces, all of a sudden becoming a Award Show host. (A/N- Why was I thinking of Mark Awards while writing this?) followed by fake cheers. "Then she's the Jerry, her height suits it." Haechan comments. "I SAID QUIT IT!" I yell back.
"Anyways, returning to the topic. What happened next, cause for once I am curious about something SOOYUN said. Like SOOYUN..." Minhee says, making me sigh. I'm so done. "I hate you two I swear." I say cursing under my breath. "Feelings mutual." Both of them say at the same time, followed by a high-five. "I appreciate your patience." Jungwoo says patting my shoulder, trying to control his laughter. "You can laugh if you want to. I'm basically a joke." Everyone, including me, laughs at the final self roast before getting back to the topic. "So you did get him jealous right?" YangYang asks.
FL- Okay fine. I admit, we might've got him a tad bit jealous, but guys, it's not like me and Sooyun intended to get him jealous. We wanted to show him the mirror. Make him realize his feelings for Jihyo noona. Cause the type of person he his, he won't admit to himself that he likes someone. But I guess we did kinda escalate the main motive?
MH- What do you mean? Tell me, what happened next?
Flashback (3rd Person's POV)
"So this guy, what about him?" Chan asks, with his detective mode on.
"Oh you know him oppa. Nice guy he is." Sooyun says, in a mesmerized voice. "I agree. I strongly agree. In fact he is the heartthrob of our school. Hyung, use your head and think who we might be talking about." Felix adds. "Guys, stop playing around and just tell me already. Who the good heavens are you talking about?!" Poor Chan was losing it at this point and Lix and Sooyun were enjoying the sight in front of themselves.
"The gift of God..." "The boon to this earth..." "The one.." "..the only." "The half deity half human..."
"I GET IT WILL YOU JUST TELL ME GODDAMIT?! I'M LOSING BRAINCELLS HERE!!!" Chan says, pouring his anger over the two 17-year-olds sitting in front of him.
"Okay fine.. we'll tell you if you admit you like Jihyo unnie.." Felix says with an evil grin. "But I told you I don't--" "Fine then, you wouldn't want to--" "OKAY FINE I LIKE HER SINCE START OF HIGH SCHOOL FIRST YEAR! NOW TELL ME!"
"Hyung, YOU HAVE LIKED HER FOR 3 DAMN YEARS?! 3 GODDAMN YEARS?! AND YOU DIDN'T CONFESS?!?!" Lix says, banging his hand on the table with each word. "IF I WERE HER I WOULD'VE BEEN DATING SOME OTHER GUY BY NOW! ARE YOU A MAN OR WHAT?!" Sooyun screams in disbelief. "STAHP GUYS!! I admit I Will you just tell me who this guy is?!"
Sooyun takes the phone and shows him a familiar face, and Chan recognized at once.

"EUNWOO!" Chan exclaims shocked to see the guy on the screen.
Well of course everyone he knew him. Cha Eunwoo was one of the popular guys in school. And well Felix wasn't wrong at ALL. Girls did fall over him like cards. They were crazy about him. They were obsessed with him. But despite of the hype, Eunwoo was generally very quiet. He kept a low profile, and avoided getting into any sorta drama. In one sentence, a guy who kept his decency.
Chan had known Eunwoo since a long time, and they were good friends. Not super close or anything, but they talked now and then. Both of them were popular AF, what'd you expect? The shock was certain. As far as he knew Jihyo wasn't the type of girl to simp for someone. And she was DEFINITELY not the fangirl type. She didn't even know Eunwoo properly, might have met a few times, but that's just that. That's the reason he liked her. She wasn't like the other girls. She was different.
Pfft... you thought Chan doesn't know how many girls simp over him? Do you think he doesn't know that everyone wants to be with him? Of course not. He had acted subtle towards the other girls because he wasn't interested. Simple as that. But out of that 'everyone' Jihyo was 'that one'. She was a gem in his eyes, that gem which he would recognize even if he went blind. He knew her in any and every context. 14 years of friendship. What else would you expect?
Chan and Jihyo's first conversation wasn't face to face. In fact Jihyo was Chan's pen-pal. Yes you heard that right. Note that at that time Chan lived in Australia at the time and Jihyo had always been in S. Korea. Who knew some elementary school assignment can change your whole life? So Chan had made a friend in Korea even before he arrived, that was, none other than, Park Jihyo.
Talking on call, they became closer in their childhood and preteens. By the time Chan moved to Seoul, he and Jihyo were basically inseparable.
It was in the first year of highschool that Chan realized that he had started to see Jihyo differently. Primarily he ignored it, thinking that it is just a sign of close friendship, but soon he couldn't unsee it. He liked the way she talked, the way she walked, basically everything. It wasn't just friendship, was it?
And this was really contradictory to the Jihyo he had known and liked. Did she really fall for someone like CHA EUNWOO? Maybe not him but CHA EUNWOO?! 'But she doesn't like guys like-- she doesn't like that type.' Chan thought to himself with these thoughts he went to change his outfit to a simple one (He realized that outfit did look kinda.. too sexy for school?) and further proceeded for school. On his way he realized..
