i don't rlly understand ppl who defend him, his trauma is an explanation for the shit he does but it isn't an excuse and a lot of ppl try to treat it like it is. it's kinda annoying and imo he's overrated.
first off, i understand that darkstalker was abused by his father and that caused a lot of his behavior but other dragons in the series, even animuses, have had traumatic pasts and still not done anything NEAR darkstalker levels of bad and i feel like that just says a lot abt darkstalker as a character.
second off, he kinda has a superiority complex which was sorta annoying to read, i don't rlly have much more to say abt that
third off, he treated clearsight shitty, i do believe he rlly loved her but he never listened to her and even put a spell on her against her own will.
fourth off, he kinda manipulated moon throughout the second arc.
fifth off, he tried to wipe out an entire tribe over one or two bad dragons. tbh that's just close-minded, and that's saying the very least, bc millions of innocent dragons could've died due to his own unwillingness to believe that some of them were good. plus, it had been 2000 years anyway...
tbh i don't necessarily *like* the ending he got, but it would've been too dangerous to try and help him, plus there was no other way to do so.
