Plot:

Su Qing is a good-for-nothing rich boy leeching off with his boyfriend, Guo Julin. Then Guo Julin broke up with him, so he went to get himself a one-night stand. As luck would have it, the person he had a one-night stand with was Hu Bugui, the head of a special government unit called the RZ Unit, currently dealing with a large-scale scientific research/terrorist group called Utopia. Because of his entanglement with Hu Bugui, Su Qing was brought to the Grey House where the Utopia experiment with people using their emotions. They created superhumans known as Blue Seals that get stronger by eating up the emotions of their matching type of Grey Seal, which Su Qing did become, specifically a rare Type 2/Sadness Gray Sea owned by a cunning and callous Type 1/Happiness Blue Seal called Chen Lin. The story revolves around Su Qing's experience in the Grey House, his escape and turning into a very special superhuman with a complete seal system and a single dad con artist, Hu Bugui and his team trying to defeat Utopia, and of course, the development of their feelings as the plot progresses.

The Ultimate Blue Seal has a very cool concept and lore. The idea about turning emotions into energy is interesting. I also really love Su Qing's con artist shenanigans with Tu Tutu, it was really fun.

But... I fell for Chen Lin.

I FELL FOR CHEN LIN! Even if he's a bastard, he deserves better! I honestly thought he would be able to escape Utopia and help RZ Unit and be like that mischievous 3rd wheel who don't really affect the main cp that much... BUT THEN HE DIED ToT!

Sigh... I tried to forget him, but my heart aches for his potential. I think Kou Tong was used to fulfill the mischievous 3rd wheel role but because I've already read Itinerant Doctor before this, I can't take his flirting even half-seriously, knowing that his end game would be ma boi the Gun. Huang Jinchen really was more of a villain here until the end, it was a bit odd for me seeing them like this while knowing their character development before I even knew their original character. Sucks to be a dumbass who don't check the sequence of books ( -_-*).

There are times when I gave up on Su Qing and Huang Jinchen, because it really seemed too one-sided. Even more so than with Kou Tong's avoidance of Huang Jinchen because of his own personal struggles, or Fei Du's villain complex... Su Qing and Huang Jinchen is kind of more a relationship built on guilt and owing favors. But it worked out in the end, they developed pretty ok, hell they even came out to his dad! So proud whenever BLs show gay couples coming out~

And Guo Julin at the end not even having the slightest idea how much his gold digger ex changed is hilarious yet pitiful hahahaha.

I love the side characters, I was kinda sad about the traitor being literally the fujoshi side character but eh, I expected it half-way. Now I know why Fang Xiu is not so ready to accept Chang Dou, I had to reread their extras again in the Itinerant Doctor to fully appreciate it. Turns out theirs is a story of moving on, sigh...

BUT WHAT ABOUT CHEN LIN—
