MXTX is a really good writer. Her strengths are on the concept of good and evil, all her three books up to now revolves around people who were thought as evil, people who were thought as good, people who changed because of their experiences, and people who kept they're morality no matter what happens to them. She's really suited to writing xianxia. Her books are page turners and evoke strong emotions, there was never a dull moment.

I believe all authors have a pattern. Base from the three main pairings alone, you can notice that MXTX have a pattern. Hua Cheng, Shen Qingqiu and Wei Ying are labelled villains who actually has a good heart, everyone antagonize them but their love interests see them for their true self. Another common theme is sacrifice, and all these three pairs exhibit it to great heights. There's no gong or shou power struggle unlike the other BLs, they do acknowledge the fact that they're both men but their sexuality was never really their greatest conflict, it's more the external ones and the people around them along with the consequences of the past events to the present.

And they have satisfying good endings! Everyone basically ended up like a married couple living lives together till the end of their days. What more can you ask for?

I'm still waiting for her 4th book, The Grim Reaper Has No Days-Off. From the title alone, I think this will also follow the pattern and themes stated above. If anyone has news for this book, or if someone is translating it already, let me know from the comments! Are you excited for more MXTX as well? Let me know your ranking of these three MXTX books, I'd love to read them and compare notes with each other.
