Thea had a couple of days before her first day as an intern, so she took this time to explore Paris and all its riches. Sofía agreed to tour her around and took her to not only its most prestigious places but some of its hidden gems. They looked round some of the designer shops and Thea even bought a nice new top for her first day on the job. They had a picnic under the Eiffel Tower which was surreal and finally looked round all the famous museums. Thea was so breath taken by all the sites, everything she laid her eyes on looked like it had just come out a movie. Every flower bloomed perfectly, the grass was the purest colour of green and each statue was placed in a way that made the whole city feel so idyllic. Throughout this whole experience, in the back of her mind she hoped she would see that boy again, even if it's just a glance. Round every corner, down every sidewalk she hoped that she would see him, and she didn't know why.

The days pass fast when your nervous for something, and before she knew it, it was the night before her first day. The butterflies that she had been feeling at the airport had took residence in her stomach again, and she couldn't stop thinking about how amazing her first impression had to be. Thea took over an hour finding the perfect outfit out, throwing every item of clothing out of her wardrobe and on to the wooden floor, until finally she found it. She decided to go for the top she bought earlier. It was a white blazer coat that wrapped around, with intricate details around the cuffs of the sleeves and underneath a black cropped top. She paired it with black flared trousers, and 3 inch gemmed heals to make her look taller than she actually was. This outfit needed to be perfect to show her creativity and style, she couldn't make one single mistake. She had folded it carefully on her dresser chair and walked out the room to try and think about something else.

Sofía could tell that she was nervous, so did her best to distract her. She talked about all the people that she met and how the parties they have are amazing, her art work and how hard it is in that industry and how in summer the weather gets so nice that she ends up sunbathing all the time. Thea tried to pay attention, she thought the more she did the less nervous she would feel. But it was a hopeless cause, her mind kept wandering back to her job, and how they hoped they would like her in real life as well as on paper.

"Thea.... Thea.... THEA!," it had seemed like she had gone into a daydream causing Sofía to yell her name at the top of her voice, making Thea jump out of her skin. "ugh.. what?" replied Thea in a confused and dazed tone. Sofía looked at her worried, as though she could see exactly what Thea was thinking and feeling. "Are you ok?" she asked concerned. No she wasn't alright if she thought truthfully, she was absolutely bricking it but she could let Sofía think that. "yeah I'm fine" she said in the most reassuring tone she could fake, she didn't need Sofía worried about her, it would stress her out even more. Even though Sofía still looked concerned she didn't ask again, and moved back on to talking about her friends and how they were having a party this weekend. "AND YOUR INVITED!!!" Sofía shouted waving her arms around in the air. Thea smiled, trying to show that she was excited but truth is.. she just wasn't. In fact, she couldn't think of anything worst to do but she was hoping by next weekend she would feel a lot happier and relaxed.

Time past and before she knew it, it was 11 o'clock at night. Thea thought she had better go to bed if she wanted to be ready for the next day. So she said good night to Sofía who was sat on the sofa eating Ice cream and watching a comedy, walked into her room, got into her Pj's on and set her alarm for 7 am the next morning. She didn't need to be there till 10 but she wanted to be as prepared and awake as possible. She closed her eyes and woke up again to the sound of her alarm. Morning? Already? It felt like she had only just gone to sleep. She rolled over and picked up her phone to 4 text messages.

Good luck sis... i will be thinking about you! From Lilia. She was so grateful for her, and missed her so much already.

good luck gorgeous, go and smash it! from her caring mum and dad.

Thinking of you today Thea, me and your Grandad love you so much! from her grandparents, though their use of technology wasn't great so they accidentally sent it 3 times.

And finally a text from Harlo, her best friend from home. It said: good luck bubs!! I miss you so much already, make sure you phone me after to tell me all about it, and I also have some gossip to share!!! She was thankful for these messages, she now knew how many people were supporting her and she felt more loved than ever.

She finally got up after replying to all her messages, and teaching her grandparents how to only send one text and got in the shower. While the hot water ran down her back she was wondering what her firsts words were going to be and what tone. She felt like an idiot saying "hi, my names Thea rose... the new intern" but she knew everything needed to be prepared. After about 20 minutes, she got out got into her new clothes, did her hair and makeup and went into the hall for breakfast. When she walked in, she found Sofía trying to flip a pancake out the pan... it wasn't going very well. On the floor there were 5 pancakes looking very sorry for themselves. Thea guessed these were her failed attempts, but didn't say anything because the amount of stress on Sofía's face said it all. "oh...hi" She said as she looked up to see Thea standing there. "urm.. what are you doing?" Thea replied, chuckling to herself, in all her 10 days here, she had no seen Sofía looked stressed. She was always so laid back and relaxed. Sofía took a sigh and said "I was trying to make you pancakes, you looked nervous last night and I thought it might cheer you up. But as you can see... it not going well." Thea couldn't help but laugh, she felt bad but it was too funny. Slowly a smile started to grow on Sofía's face and by the end they were both in laughing fits. They ended up leaving the pancakes, they both agreed that it would be dangerous if they continued trying to get the pancakes to land in the pan, and heated up some croissants they bought from the nearest bakery a couple of days ago instead. For a moment, Thea forgot about her job and the stress, and just had fun. She was thank full that she finally got distracted from her nerves.

After an hour it was finally time for her to go, she picked up her bag and put in her purse, phone and keys, gave Sofía a final hug good bye and walked out the apartment door, ready to start the day!
