"I don't think you need to be getting involved with that girl again." Lísa said, as she played with Alí. Maleígha had just left well over a hour ago the two had spent their time with the kids, before she went back to her and Iman's hotel.
"It ain't none like that ma'. We just co-parenting." Cartí said, as he looked at the time on his phone. He had business to go handle in a little while and would be leaving the kids with his mother.
"You sure? Cause this morning it didn't look like y'all were just co-parenting. Y'all can't be confusing these kids, if y'all gon' co-parent do exactly that and not all the extra." She said, as she shook her head. This morning Lisa had walked in on Cartí being very playful with one another and she knew her son and she knew how much loved he had for Maleígha as well she didn't want her son getting his feelings hurt again.
"I ain't telling you how to live your life you're a grown ass man with two kids. Stop thinking with what's in your pants and think with your head. I wouldn't trust her ass anyway especially after she up and disappeared with Alí for two years now all of sudden she back." Lísa said, the whole family had something to say about Maleígha. They weren't a big fan of her anymore after the shit she pulled and how could you blame them. Cartí was listening to every word his mother said, he wondered why she was back and decided to come back two years later at that.
"I promise you ma' Maleígha not on that type of time. We good." He said, as he defended her. Right or wrong, he was going to always have Maleígha's back. He loved her too much, even if she did do him bad, he also understood that he caused the damage as well that led her to that point."Where did she even stay for those two years? How was she taking care of her and the baby?" She asked, Lísa used to love Maleígha like a daughter but after she left with her grandchild, that love turned into a strong disliking. Plus she thought Maleígha was coming back for money.
"Her and Alí been living in Atlanta. Don't discredit her like she a bad mother, she got her own business that's bringing in some money." He said, as Lísa rolled her eyes. She didn't want her son getting back involved with Maleígha and she had her reasons.
"I think Alí should stay here with you, once she goes back." She said. Cartí didn't know what him and Maleígha were going to do once she left to go back home. Cartí hadn't even thought about Maleígha leaving being that he was so caught up in the moment.
Cartí most definitely wanted his son to stay with him. He wanted to make up for all the lost time between the two. Plus he wanted Milaní and Alí to grow up together and not apart, Milaní had become attached to her brother in only a couple days and he didn't want to take that away from her.
"I'll talk to her bout it. We could probably make sum' type of arrangement." He said, as he thought about how things were about to go once Maleígha left.
