It had been a month since the interview and I was still working at the radio station, but luckily had managed to stay behind the camera again so far.

The station had been planning this big charity event for the past month, and all staff were invited, meaning Mark was making our whole sector come. Apparently a load of celebrities would be there too, but we weren't expecting to be any part of that crowd.

"I really don't know if it's my thing, ya know?" I said, desperately trying to get out of attending.

"Gem, everyone is going. Except Simon, because he's still on thin ice with the honchos, you're welcome by the way".

Turns out, Mark had been filming the entire thing that day at the interview, and when he showed the big bosses at the station how he treated his staff, they were less than impressed. He'd been put back on a probationary period, which also involved no perks, such as parties.

"I seriously owe you for that dude, but please let me repay you in literally any other way than this" I held my hands up, praying.

"Nope, this is all I want" he said with a grin.

"Ugh FINE but I'm leaving early if I don't like it".

"Deal." We shook hands and he continued to grin, while I narrowed my eyes at him. Time to go home and find something to wear, I guess.

I decided on a black dress, with puff chiffon sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. It was tight and stopped mid thigh, and I paired it with black heels.

I curled my hair and did a smokey orange eye, with a nude lip. I wasn't one for wearing makeup daily, but I enjoyed dressing up sometimes.

I got an uber to the venue, and instantly regretted agreeing to come. I suddenly realised I had no clue who to talk to, I didn't recognise anyone. I stepped into the bar area, scanning the masses of people desperately. I was hoping to at least see someone like Grimmie, but I was at a loss.

So this is what it's like to be single at a company party. Cool.

I stood in my spot by the bar, completely planning on staying there all night. I noticed a few celebrities, Ed Sheeran and his wife, Shawn Mendes with Camila Cabello, Taylor Swift and her partner. Emily Blunt and John Krasinski had just walked past me, and I swear to god I stopped breathing. I'm totally not worthy of the same air as those two.

There were a load of other people I didn't recognise, I assumed they worked at the station or they were involved with the event somehow.

Out of nowhere, I felt a hand grab my shoulder. I spun around to see my attacker and-

"Gemma! Hi!"

Zendaya had her hand on me, had recognised me, and was calling me by name. Totally fine.

"Oh my god, hi!" I managed back, desperately trying to keep my cool.

"How are you? So cool that you're here!" She was smiling at me, actually seeming interested in my answer.

"I'm good thank you! Yeah, staff were invited and my boss made me come. How are you? You look incredible!"
She did. She was wearing a bright pink dress, off the shoulder, ruffled with a split down the side. It hugged her figure perfectly and she looked stunning.

"Ah thank you, you're so sweet! You look amazing, hello little black dress!" She laughed and took my hand, spinning me. I laughed with her, not quite believing what was happening.

As if this interaction wasn't overwhelming enough, Tom Holland then decided to enter the situation.

He walked over to Zendaya, placing his hand on her back. He smiled at her and then looked to see who she was with.
