Chapter 9

Anna's pov:

I kissed her. I actually kissed her... and she kissed me back...

An incoming call snapped me out of my thoughts. It was from Ellie, weird. I answered

"Hey"

"Hi"

"What's up?"

"I need to tell you something and I want you to promise me that you'll do it"

"Ok?"

"I know you two aren't together yet but please for the love of god don't break y/n's heart. She's already gone through so much and I can't stand watching her go through that again... it's not just that I'll be the one having to take care of her and making sure she doesn't fall back into a dark place, but I don't think she can emotionally handle it"

I nodded and she kept going

"Also, I know that we don't know each other that well but I will be there for you as well as y/n because I know y/n cares about you so much and you seem like an amazing person... that sounds so cringey but from what y/n's said about you, it's true"

I blushed

"That's all I really wanted to say, so... bye"

"Bye"

She hung up and I rested my head against my headboard

she talks about me... 

I was on TikTok for the next hour or so because I didn't have anything else to do when I got a snap from y/n. It was a picture of her and my dog

huh?...

A minute later I heard a knock on my door

"Come in"

Y/n came into my room with a smile on her face

"What are you doing here stupid?" I asked getting up to hug her

"I was bored so I texted your mom and she said that I could come over... I've been here for like 30 minutes, I was playing Fortnite with Brandon"

"And you didn't think to tell me?" I said wrapping my arms around her neck and resting my head  in the crook of her neck

"Sorry... but if it makes you feel any better your brother also destroyed me in Fortnite... so I came up here" she said putting her hands on my waist and hugging me back

I pulled away even though I didn't want to and I sat back down on my bed and so did y/n

"So, what's new with you besides being destroyed by Brandon in Fortnite?"

"Nothing, you?"

"Well I mean my mom found out that we like each other"

"SHE WHAT?"

"...I may or may not have accidentally told her that we kissed"

"Was she cool with it?"

"Yeah, she actually said that she knew that we liked each other for a while"

"Really?"

"Yeah"

"Hm cool I guess"

 I slid up on my bed so that I was leaning up against my headboard and so did y/n but she rolled over onto her side, wrapped her arms around me and put her head on my shoulder, giving me butterflies instantly

"I'm tired" she mumbled into my shoulder

"It's only like 7:30 though"

"But I didn't sleep well last night"

"Why?"

"I was trying to think of how to tell you that I like you"

"Bro, you literally could've just said 'i like you, just don't tell anyone'"

"But did I know that? No."

"Fair I guess"

i literally almost told my mom that i like this girl but i thankfuly i didn't because if i did it would've been awkward af
