Loosely based off of that tiktok song.
"It's just a cigarette and it cannot be that bad." Veronica mumbled to herself as she held a cigarette in between her fingers. She twiddled with it for a moment before she was interrupted by a hallucination.
"Honey, don't you know it makes me sad?" Asked the figment of her imagination. She could hear the frown he had in his voice. She was angered by him. JD smoked all the time and just because he died, he thinks he's on some moral high ground over her.
"It's just a cigarette, like you always used to do." Veronica argued back to him.
"I was different then, I don't need them to be cool." JD responded, appearing in front of her the way he looked before he blew up. His abdomen was torn apart at the middle, right where the bomb was strapped to him.
"It's just a cigarette." Veronica sighed, all of a sudden very tired by her hallucinations. She couldn't even make up a nice JD, he was still the same pretentious dick he was when he was alive.
"You got a death wish too?" He asked her, grinning slightly. "That's marvelous," He went on.
"You're the only person who unironically says marvelous." Veronica mumbled as he bent down, looking into her eyes.
"If you died, we'd be together again. Wouldn't that be just lovely?" He questioned her. She wondered briefly why he was doing this, as if he was still a real person and not a grotesque mentally-reanimated corpse.
"No." Veronica admitted. He glared at her before smirking slightly.
"Then don't have a cigarette." He told her. "Otherwise you'll be seeing me sooner." He added before vanishing.
The cigarette went back in the pack, back into the carton. Veronica swallowed her pride as she did these things. As of right now, she did not want to see JD in the afterlife.
