"excuse me" someone tugs gaeun's shirt.
"hi! can you tell me your name and age?" gaeun knelt to examine a young child.
"my name is lee hyera, and i'm 5 years old." the young girl was shy and had a sad smile on her face. gaeun gently wipes her tiny tears as her eyes swelled and some tears remained.
they were nearby a restaurant, and gaeun was expecting jongho's arrival. in a few minutes, jongho and gaeun will be on their date.
"i'm gaeun, by the way" gaeun says, staring at hyera's adorable pigtails and pink sweater.
"are you lost?" gaeun wondered, and the girl simply nodded.
hearing a rumbling noise, gaeun assumed hyera was hungry.
"do you mind if i ask you a few questions?" the young girl smiled and nodded.
"how did you get lost?" she asked politely, not wanting to frighten hyera.
"we were leaving the restaurant, but a large number of people went inside, leaving me behind. it happened a few hours ago "she was in tears. gaeun patted her on the back while hugging her.
"do you know your parents' names or phone numbers?" gaeun reached into her pocket and handed hyera a candy.
"i don't know, i just call them mom and dad," gaeun considered her options for hyera.
"would you like to accompany me? let's find your parents afterward." hyera takes a step forward and looks at her.
hyera nodded, her mouth full of the delicious candy gaeun had given her earlier.
in front of them, a motorcycle comes to a halt. jongho removes his helmet nonchalantly and gazes at gaeun and the young girl.
who's that? her cousin?
"you said to me that it's simply both of us and you carried a kid to our date" jongho was disappointed to gaeun.
"wait, let me explain everything what literary happen to this child" she was begging at jongho.
to this child? not related to her family?
"this girl is lost and she found me where her parents left her. she didn't know anything about her parents, so since you're here, let's take her, and then i'll help find her parents after our date " she made her voice genuine to jongho.
"all right, what's your name?" he asked of the young girl.
"lee h-hyera" hyera was savoring the candy while avoiding jongho.
