ch.1-6

Terrence Pov

After the incident happen Megan is still here and seems to be dotting with Sofia as if that's his daughter or something and I'm just over here keeping on a check-up with grandpa Chester. I'm a bit pissed how this guy dares say that stuff that to me honestly I'm hurt Does this guy even have any idea how much I've been looking up to him and even tried so hard to believe in him and hoping I could see him one day... Goddammit never would have realized that this so-called God can be a Dick!

while I was busy glaring at Megan I then notice that grandpa Chester was waking up "Grandpa Chester!" Sofia then notices that grandpa was waking up she then quickly went towards grandpa Chester. " Grandpa Chester!!" as Sofia was crying and worried grandpa Chester then tried to sit down I then helped him for it " Grandpa Chester... are you okay..? do you need to go to the hospital...?" she then shook his head signing said no he then spoke up " I'm fine... lad... I don't feel any pain at all I feel great like I was healed..." I then suddenly remembered that Megan healed him... I looked at Megan and he's still here...? I wanted to ask why he still here but I kinda don't wanna be rude... even though he was the one who's rude to me from the very beginning.

Grandpa Chester then notice Megan, Grandpa Chester was surprised as he slowly comes close to Megan and begun to take a closer look " y-you... you're... the one from the statue... your Megan... am I right? the water element..." Megan just nodded and gently said yes. Grandpa Chester chuckled and sounded so happy excited that he gets to meet him. I was also excited to meet you Megan but... why such a bad expression... after remembering I then start sulking it still hurts but this time... I AM NEVER GONNA GET FANTASIZED BY YOU!!!

after a few hours have passed I didn't notice the time that it was late already and the time was already at 8 o clock. I then stood up and realized about Sofia " hey Sofia don't you think is time I take you home to your parents?" Sofia then felt down and silent grandpa Chester as well seems worried... I was confused on why but Megan seems confused as well. I then ask Sofia what's wrong she then just looked at me and said. " can I stay over with you?" she said in a pleading expression giving me that cute expression she showed. I froze and honestly, I can't take care of a kid especially I've been having a hard time living on my own... when I was about to deny Grandpa Chester then took me out and talk to me about something.

Megan pov

when old man Chester took the idiot Terrence outside I was then left with Sofia who seems to be looking down a bit I then start to ask her " why don't you want to go home with your parents?" she looked away from me for a second then tell me " I don't wanna go home... is not like they'll miss me anyway..." I didn't really quite understand what she meant I then ask her again " what do you mean?" she then looked down again and spoke up " my parents only loved my step sister even my own mother has forgotten about me..." after she said those she was then feeling sad I patted her head to cheer her up I smiled at her and told her that " is going to be okay." she then gave a warm and cheerful smile she seems to be feeling relieved after hearing those words.

Terrence Pov

after Grandpa Chester took me outside at the back of the cottage he then looked at me and said " lad I know this may be a big of a burden but could you do me a favor and take care of little Sofia for me? " I was confused and I ask " why all of a sudden and even ask on why she can't go home with her parents?" the old man then looked down and sigh and spoke up " you see her parents actually never treat her equally they were so focus on their new daughter which is her stepsister... and no just because she is young or something like that her parents even her own mother have forgotten about her both of them even ended up neglecting her and never pay too much attention to her. and when it's not even her fault her own stepfather blamed it on Sofia..." grandpa Chester then looked sad and frustrated. " no one was there to help little sofia at all and as a matter of fact shes completely alone not even the maids from her place or even anyone out there is there to help her shes been through a lot and she is still young still a child and... every child need a family that's why she runaway from home and that's how I met her no matter how small or no matter what type of surviving methods I have been using over this few months she didn't mind she didn't mind anything what to eat where to sleep who she spends with she didn't mind it. what she wants was a place where she can feel joyed and welcome been treated as if like she has her own family..." after hearing about what Sofia has been through I suddenly felt a bit of pain in my chest... for some reason hearing those stories about her family... she's just like me when I was somewhere near her age... but why did he suddenly tell me this by now... " then I have a question... if you've been taking good care of her over the past few months then why won't you let her stay with you?" Grandpa Chester grumble a bit and sigh as he spoke up " trust me I wouldn't ask a favor to you to take good care of her... the problem is her parents have found out where she was been sleeping and spending time with her I probably might go to jail at this rate as the crime of me kidnapping their daughter. 

even though I never really do anything and if I were been captured then no one will take good care of her... once she grew up I don't even know how it'll affect her in the future. " after hearing about her story and after hearing on what might happen to Grandpa Chester I suddenly felt like I didn't want that to happen I know its been only a short while that I have met him and Sofia but I can tell that this old man is not a bad person at all... but I'm still unsure about Megan and I hoped he won't be doing anything bad while his with Sofia as well... I then took a deep breath and have decided. " Grandpa Chester please rest assured ill be taking good care of little Sofia from now on she will be living with me so rest assured!" Grandpa Chester then felt relieved and glad " then the rest is up to you and also you're free to visit me as well along with her if you want me to babysit her from your work I don't mind as well and... don't worry about Megan I'm sure ill be fine with this young lad..." oh yeah speaking of Megan I quickly ran back to the cottage and as soon I went inside I see Megan playing with Sofia I was a bit surprised have to admit but she seems to be enjoying herself a lot.

then I smiled and looked at Sofia " Sofia... listen to me" Megan then slowly put Sofia down as Sofia looked at me. " from now on Sofia starting today you'll be living with me " I said it is a  proud tone after hearing the news she then felt excited and happy she then started running around and jump to hug me " REALLY BROTHER TERRENCE CAN I REALLY STAY OVER TO YOUR PLACE!?!?" she said it so fast and excited I then nodded and said. " that's right starting today you are now free to live with me... and you can also get to see Grandpa Chester as well ISNT THAT GREAT SOFIA?" she then nodded fast and was still happy and excited. she even ran towards Grandpa Chester " Grandpa Grandpa!!! did you hear that IM GONNA STAY OVER AT BROTHER TERRENCE" Granda Chester then seems happy as well but a bit sad seems like he's gonna miss her I can tell... I then suddenly felt a bit of a dark aura behind me as I looked I can see that Megan seems completely mad at me I don't know if is jealous or something but whatever is what did I even do!?

after a few hours of another spending time Sofia quickly starts packing up her things while I waited outside the cottage she then came out and grab my hand " IM READY!" she said in a very happy tone. Grandpa Chester and Megan then came out of the cottage as well to give them goodbyes I'm still surprised at how Megan is actually staying with Grandpa Chester I then ask Grandpa Chester " um grandpa is it really okay for you to let Megan stay live with you? " Grandpa Chester then chuckled and gave me an okay sign Megan seems to agree to stay with Grandpa Chester for tonight I then got worried " Grandpa Chester be sure to be careful and be safe." he then patted my head and said " young lad... don't worry about me besides Megan is here with me what could go wrong hahaha!" he laughed and I just nervously laughed I'm surprised how Sofia and Grandpa Cheste can just easily trust Megan or is Megan just really rude towards me?

I and Sofia have made it out of the forest and start walking home to my apartment when I and Sofia have made it back home she then starts looking around and exploring my house. she seems amazed she then asked me " Brother Terrence are you living alone? " I was a bit of surprised with the sudden question but I just nodded she then ask where my parents I just answered, " my parents are at a different house... I'm not living with them anymore..." she then seems sad about hearing that I'm living alone I kneeled in front of her and patted her head and told her with a smile " is okay caused Brother Terrence is not alone anymore caused... little Sofia is here with me," I said with a smile while playfully holding her nose she then went back to her happy and cheerful expression. Sofia had then fallen asleep next to me on my bed I also then fell asleep seems like a brand new day and a brand new moment is gonna happen... I'm looking forward to it.
