Harry's POV

Since Draco's strange disappearance from the restaurant, he hasn't shown for days. I've been coming in daily but with no luck whatsoever.

Ron had just told me to just stop, saying it was a bit creepy and it was probably just my mind coming up with ways to deal with and ignore other things going on in my life.

But I don't think it's that, considering how frightened Malfoy was the previous day. I can't just be imagining, can I?

I decided to try one more time. I walked silently over to the little cafe, my hands tucked into my droopy black jumper. The sound of the heavy rain hitting the road was quite comforting but I was thankful that I was covered by the shade sails leaning out from the local shops. I could feel the wind at my ankles, making them frosty cold, but my tight jeans refused it to creep up my legs.

I arrived at the cafe and peered through the door to catch my eye on a sign,

'Closed'.

Now I had no chance of seeing him.

Maybe Ron was right after all. Maybe I'm inventing things to get worked up about for no reason, so I can avoid all my growing problems.

But what are my problems? Am I still worked up about the Dursleys? It's been so long since I've even thought of them. Maybe it's the war? That was tragic, but I don't think I'm still healing from that, am I? Or it could be that fact that I haven't had a proper laugh since then.

Now I'm just being silly. I mean, of course Ron is wrong, but that doesn't explain my recent behaviours.

I chucked on my hoodie and started jogging through the empty streets to the nearby forest.

To avoid all these confusing thoughts, I decided to visit an old hideout. It was a little safe place hidden in the dopey trees. And in the middle of it all was a great big oak tree that hid and protected anyone sitting in front of it with its hanging branches that were constantly covered in fireflies, even in the daytime. Which made sense since the big bold trees circling around it did a good job at hiding the sun and created the feeling that it was night time.

I waited until I was a small distance in to make sure no one saw me. I wanted this place to be only mine. I grabbed my broom out of my enchanted, never-ending bag (that Hermione had leant me), but then stopped in my tracks. It was still raining pretty hard. Maybe it wasn't the best idea for me to fly. I tucked it back in and started jogging the rest of the way. Thank goodness I went there regularly when I was younger. The path there was practically memorised.

After around 15 minutes of jogging, I finally arrived. There it was. It hadn't changed at all between the 5 years I hadn't been there.

I pulled the draping branches over my head and the fireflies that were previously resting on them flew into the air in harmony, the brightness shining onto my face. They then crawled back on when I let go, getting comfy again. I was about to sit down and get comfy too when I heard a rustle hidden on the other side of the tree.

Was someone else here?

"Hello?" I called. "Is anyone there?"

No answer. At this point, I got concerned for my safety and slowly and quietly took out my wand. Had someone followed me?

I leisurely crawled around this big tree, but before I even got a quarter way around, I heard another rustle.

Someone else was defiantly here.

"Come out now!" I demanded, my wand now pointed into the air.

After that was said, I heard this person slowly get up.

'Are they going to try and run away?' I thought.

Then an idea grew into my head. I slowly crawled around this tree again, towards them, forcing them to move again. I heard the sounds of there feet quickly running, to which I quickly moved the other way and caught the person off guard.

"Who are yo-" I called, wand in air, but my plan backfired as I got caught off guard, as they ran right into my arms, making me topple over.

"Ow!" we said in harmony. That is when I recognised the voice.

We looked up at them, my cheeks getting red when I realised how close our faces were, and I yelped,

"Malfoy?!"
