Sky's POV

"Why are we up so early?" Via complained as she followed behind me.

"Well you said that you wanted me to teach you, so that's what I'm going to do," I stated. I lead them to a field at the base of mountain and turned to them. "Since I don't know what your skills are, you're gonna show me." I pulled out my bow and pointed it at them. "By attacking me."

"Wh-What?!" she yelled, backing away.

"Attack me." I glared at them. "Or else I'll do it."

"I-I don't even like fighting! And I especially don't want to fight you!" I sighed, lowering my bow.

"Gee, what a scaredy cat." I saw them freeze before their gaze darkened.

"What did you just call me?"

I smiled and said, "I called you scaredy cat, pip squeak."

"Do not insult me."

"Or what?"

"Or I. Get. Mad!" She then threw a chuck of earth at me. I quickly dodged.

"Oh, I'm so scared. A little kid is mad at me." I looked them straight in the eye and said, "For a god slayer, you're really weak."

"THAT'S IT!!!" Suddenly, more chucks of earth flew at me but instead of being scared. . . I just smiled.

'This is gonna be fun.'

No One's POV

At the chucks of earth flew straight towards Sky, he quickly jumped up onto them, easily dodging them. He then armed his bow and shot am arrow at Via. They barely dodged it and threw a chuck of earth at him. Sky jumped onto it, then jumped off, landing on top of Via, pinning them down. He took one of his arrows raising it above his head and swung it down.

Sky's POV

I stabbed my arrow into the ground right next to Via's head and smiled at them. "Not bad kid." I got off them and pulled them up.

"Not bad?! I barely survived against you and I couldn't even hit you once! Not to mention, you didn't even use magic!"

I flicked their head, saying, "Well duh. I've been fighting pretty much all my life and I've fought enough magic users to know how to handle myself. Just because you have a lot of power doesn't mean you can beat someone with years of experience."

"What did you even learn from that?" she asked, dusting herself off.

"Quite a lot actually." I put my arrow now away. "First things first, you underestimated me too much.Lesson one, never underestimate your opponent, because they might not seem like much, they can be a lot stronger than you. Lesson two, fight smart. You focused too much on brute strength to take me down. Sometimes your opponent will be stronger than you so you need to outsmart them."

"How could I have outsmarted you?"

"Surround me by earth to make it so that I couldn't escape. Or maybe even tire me out so I won't be able to dodge as easily." She nodded a bit. "Lesson three, use your surroundings to your advantage. You were surround by earth, yet you didn't use it to your advantaged. Always be aware of your area. Lesson four, your temper."

"Wha- you insulted me!"

"And that will be your downfall in fight. If you get ticked off with simple insults then you will not be able to fight. You need to keep your emotions in check if you ever want to use your magic properly." I looked down and said, "If you lose control for even a second, you can hurt the ones you care."
