The Never Wolf's

New H.Q and New Friend

We tackled Red but she jumped away, transforming into her red-brown wolf. We transformed as well and took off after her, howling with surprise as she jumped on a tree and went through the leaves stealthily.

"Red! Get down here!" I growled, looking up for rustling leaves. Raven and Alex circled the tree anxiously. The swaying leaves did not betray where Red could be hiding.

"Red? Red!" Raven barked. We all sat in a circle, Jake on one side, me on the other, Raven and Alex opposite.

"Maybe I could help?" a small voice asked behind me. I turned and saw a small girl with whitish-blond hair. She had piercing blue eyes and... a tail and ears?!? Her tail, like her hair, was whitish-brown but it had a white tip, it looked like a wolf's tail. Her ears were just like her tail, the same color and wolfy style. She looked a little taller than Red.

"Uhhh..." I muttered stupidly. The girl perked, yes, perked her ears. Her tail started wagging.

"I'll help!" she smiled before dashing into the tree. We all looked as she looked around before disappearing into the leaves. Then, we heard a loud shriek.

"Aaaarrgh!" Red's voice yelped as she was dragged down the tree by the scruff of her neck. We all smirked as Red was dropped down heavily.

"Owww..." she groaned. The wolf-girl jumped down and looked at Red.

"Sorry 'bout that" she smiled apologetically.

"No...problem...there..." Red gasped in between breaths.

"Who are you?" I asked while Raven and Alex held Red so she could not escape.

"My name is Astrid. I'm a wolf-human hybrid, and i'm also Red's companion!" she squealed. I looked at Red in surprise. She shrugged.

"She is my 'friend' that I help out with...stuff." Red sighed. Astrid runs up to Red and hugs her, sitting at her feet like an obedient dog.

"Red" Alex and Raven say in unison. She looks at them blankly.

"What," she asks in a bored voice, "do you want?" I look at her and nod at Raven and Alex. They let Red go and she hugs Astrid back. She whispers in Astrid's ear and Astrid takes of in the direction of the cave.

"I am leaving to home now," Red sighs before turning around and calling over her shoulder, "see ya at school!" Then she runs with her inhuman speed and disappears from view.
